We all have a certain subject we are better at than the other ones and we all have those other subjects we are absolutely horrible at and nothing seems to click. That’s how I am with math and science. I remember when I took chemistry my sophomore year I thought moles were talking about moles on people’s skin. I was unbelievably confused. Math isn't any better, I have a rough time calculating the hours I work each week at work. I am majoring in education. Of Course, you have to take math and science classes but I want to be a teacher and then Guidance Counselor. That does not require heavy amounts of Stem classes as say …show more content…
Each of us have something different in mind when trying to make life goals for ourselves. Some of us think money, some think power, some think a job they love. Me, I think of a family, i've loved kids since I was a kid. I’ve valued a family most of all throughout life, and i've looked forward to the day I get to start my own family my entire life. To have a family, I want to be committed to them and be there through the most important moments of their lives. The major I picked fits this perfectly. Being a teacher has amazing benefits if you want to have a family. You make a decent salary, you’re home at a decent time every night, and you have the same break time as your children would have. I would enjoy this much rather than being a doctor where I’m always on call or working nights or being a sales/businessman where I am always traveling. The lifestyle I want has caused me to choose this major and to find a career in
