Internet safety, Privacy & Acceptable Use

This assignment was a brochure we needed to do that explained the many different ways of internet safety. We had to research and know the understanding of issues of the internet safety, privacy, and acceptable use of policy. We first had to read an article so that we can gain a better understanding of issues students need to be aware of the use of technology. Some of the FEAPS for this assignment are FL-FEAP-2010.2.a.2 The Learning Environment. To maintain a student-centered learning environment that is safe, organized, equitable, flexible, inclusive, and collaborative, the effective educator consistently: FL-FEAP-2010.2.a.2.c
Conveys high expectations to all students. This brochure was created for both parents and students so they can follow my classroom rules, also to gain knowledge of the internet safety, privacy and acceptable use that I will expect in my classroom. I did a lot of research and picked out the very important details that I believe both parents and students need to know to have a better understanding. I used a lot of colors and images to make my brochure more appealing to the eye. After they review my brochure students will be able to know what they can and cannot do while using the internet. I want the parents of the students after reviewing my brochure to feel safer knowing that their kids will know what is wrong and right about the use of the internet. As a future educator I have learned how important it is for students to know as much as possible about the safety of the internet because kids nowadays at just age four are already using the internet so they need to know as much as possible about the safety and privacy about a computer and going on the internet. There are many dangers also about someone so young using a computer, many unacceptable websites and also they can’t trust just

    There is a high risk of sexual and emotional abuse for children when they are exposed to the internet or have access to mobiles. It is impossible to state that children and young people should not use the internet; this is because it is a great method to help and support during education.
