My Struggle With Stoichiometry
Another time I was uncertain this semester was in chemistry 105. In chemistry I was really struggling with stoichiometry. For some reason I would try to understand it but it would just not come to me. I would try to take notes but our teacher would always move to fast through the presentation so I would never get the notes. So the way I found out how to take notes for chemistry that really helped me was just to take pictures. By doing this I would have more time to watch how the teacher would do it and not worry about getting the notes. This small tool helped me a ton this semester in chemistry.

I think Alameda Point should be modified because there are many abandoned buildings, and there should be extra room for schools, hospitals, stores, and additional residency. There are about one hundred abandoned buildings on Alameda Pointbecause nobody uses the buildings so they end up collecting rodents and insects, especially termites. Alameda is crowded the way it is and we need the additional space for more guises news buildings, stores, hospitals, and residency. More schools are needed in Alameda because the public schools are overflowing with students, and if there are more schools with less students there will be more one on one help, and the teachers can be more aware of the students social situations. Additional stores are necessary…

For the final, and drawing upon past experience, most students do well on computational problems tied to multiple choice, or multiple choice. In 20 years of teaching, I have also discovered that students struggle on conceptual problems, bringing together two (2) to three (3) concepts, in one problem, which is an introduction to life. If I were taking the exam I would first make sure I knew exactly what the question was asking, because during tutoring seldom do I find a student doing this, which should be basic. I find too many students are looking for a formula while reading the question. In fact last year, during tutoring, a student asked 4 times for the formula while I was reading the question, which was “given these conditions what is the face value of the bond.” (hopefully we all know it is $1,000)…

When gases are collected by water displacement the volume of gas above the water includes not only the gas being bubbled through the water but also water vapor. Therefore, the total pressure in the eudiometer is due to the gas pressure plus water vapor pressure. The pressure due to water vapor is directly proportional to the temperature of the water. From this we were able to see how much Magnesium and H2 gases reacted with each other along with the H2O and we were able to figure out the HCl: Mg ratio with all the data we collected. The experiment although at first the magnesium was dissolving to fast turned out perfect after the second try.…

Yes, last week was really difficult for me! I'm pursuing my degree in nursing through Arizona College and doing my prerequests through Keiser University, so I was able to take advantage of the free tutoring available at Arizona College. I put my kids in daycare for the week and I was at the Arizona College campus from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. studying and being tutored. I feel that I understand the concepts that we are studying each week, however the math portion is what I'm having a hard time with since I havent taken a math class in about ten years. I feel that I'm able to do the problems but they are taking me a long time to complete and since the time frame for the test is fifty minutes I run out of time and I'm left guessing on some of the…

Another key to succeeding in college classes is to always take notes. The human brain can not remember everything a professor teaches about all in one class. Anyone can take notes during classes but sometimes students end up writing down something they do not need to know. A way to figure out how to right down the correct notes is to listen to the professor for things that stick out the most. Listening to the professor helps in many ways.…

I also made it difficult for myself because the entire semester I was trying to find sides and argue for a side, but most of the assignments did not require me to do that. I also learned the importance of asking questions as well as the use of the writing center. Without those factors this semester would have been very difficult, but due to the clarity they ensured me I was able to come out on top. I learned more about what works for me as a writer such as when I am conducting research and reading different articles it is helpful when I write down key things within the article. I learned that I do better with a paper when I do an outline then I write my rough draft on paper then I type it. I also learned a lot about life because it was all about current issues which I did not really keep up with until this class, but I regret not keeping up with them before this class. I find current issues very interesting and I like exploring the different viewpoints and why they believe that. I also learned that in life when someone does not agree with you it is good to still listen to their side although you may not agree because most of the time you guys can find something you can agree on then you can compromise. Compromising is very important in everything because everyone will not agree with everything you…
