My high score on this survey was in the area of reading comprehension. In the past, I did not usually have much trouble understanding pieces of writing. Doing well with reading comprehension helps with any field of study because being able to understand writing allows anyone to perform better in their job. My middle score was in science. I have always enjoyed scientifically-based classes, and kept good grades in them. My program of study is the Associate of Science, so my middle score goes perfectly with the area of work that I hope to go into in the future. My lowest score was in monitoring. This means that I do not do well with observing and keeping a check on the progress of something. I interpret this as meaning I do not have the patience for this area. I like to be more involved in the process, rather than just watching over a piece of machinery for mistakes. The value in which I scored the highest was achievement. I like to complete the goals that I set forth for myself. When I put my effort towards my goals, it gives me a feeling of accomplishment, and that is what I strive for. For my program of study, this value will help me to do my best in my classes, and finish all of the work assigned for the classes. My second highest score in values was revealed to be recognition. I like to be recognized for the good work that I do, but I do not enjoy being in the spotlight too much. Approval from others gives me the drive to keep going.
