My Three Assessments
In ACA 122, my class went on the CFNC website to take three assessments. Those assessments evaluated our interests, abilities, and values. The Interest Profiler focused on what we would like to do, the Basic Skills Survey focused on what we could do at that point in our lives, and the Work Value Sorter found careers relevant to which values were most important to us. Taking these assessments assisted in moving me in the right direction to find out what I may want to major in, since I am not sure yet. My program of study is the Associate of Science, and I found out that I was in the right program judging by my results. I plan on transferring to a university after completing my associates. My high score on this survey was in the area of reading comprehension. In the past, I did not usually have much trouble understanding pieces of writing. Doing well with reading comprehension helps with any field of study because being able to understand writing allows anyone to perform better in their job. My middle score was in science. I may or may not need to work on this in order to succeed in my program of study; it depends on what I decide to major …show more content…
The value in which I scored the highest was achievement. I like to complete the goals that I set forth for myself. When I put my effort towards my goals, it gives me a feeling of accomplishment, and that is what I strive for. For my program of study, this value will help me to do my best in my classes, and finish all of the work assigned for the classes. My second highest score in values was revealed to be recognition. I like to be recognized for the good work that I do, but I do not enjoy being in the spotlight too much. Approval from others gives me the drive to keep going. This will be useful in my program of study for the reason that scientific research usually comes with
