My Trip To Florida Essay
I’ve always wanted to go to a beach on the east and west coasts. I went to California two years ago, so that was my west coast. Last summer I we took a trip to Florida.
I’ve always wanted to go to Florida for one reason and that is to go to Disneyworld. Although we didn’t go to Disney when we went I was still glad I was going. I went with my brother, cousin Joie, my grandma, and a few other cousins followed us. We were all going to another family member's wedding. We stayed for about four days and didn’t really do a whole lot while we were there.
Dalton had taken off work that weekend so he could come with us. We weren’t sure what time we were going to leave that night because Joie had her 8th grade graduation and graduation dance. Dalton also had to work that night and didn’t exactly know what time he was going to get off. He got off around midnight, so we called our grandma and told her we were coming over then. That way, if we ended up leaving that morning really early we would already be at her house and have our stuff loaded. Dalton and I got there around 12;15. My grandma told us when we got there that Joie was on her way too. She then called our other cousins

We all had to take showers and everything too, but we all managed to be ready in time. The wedding was beautiful. It was outside and looked over the ocean. The reception was very fun too. It was in the building that the wedding was at, but the room was separate from the other part of the place. I think it was a restaurant that they had it at but it was a really fancy one, I’m not sure though. We had dinner, they did their first dance, and the dance with the parents. The bride and bridesmaids had a dance made up to do for the groom and the groomsmen, and the groom and groomsmen had a thing made up for the bride and the bridesmaids. It was

Despite the several hurricanes that have occurred in Florida the past couple years, I think it's safe to say that Florida can also be a pleasant place to live. I, personally, even after knowing so many good qualities about the sunshine state, still am not convinced that Florida would be a nice place to live.…

I have lived all my life in sunny Florida. I have always been a little different. While most of my friends were playing basketball or baseball I was tinkering with electronics and repairing or improving any item that came my way. I learned a lot from my older brother, who taught me everything I know about computers and technology. When I was a sophomore in high school, my brother and I worked together to build my own gaming computer. I have had a passion to learn as much as I can, so that I can be the best that I can possibly be. I was bullied as a child for being different, but I knew that if I pushed on, I could achieve my…

When I walked in the doors of our house, I looked to the left where our couch was and saw my parents sitting facing towards me with nervous faces. I set my bag on the ground next to the door, and I set my shoes next to my bag. I slowly turned around and walked towards the couch, hesitant to take a step forward. Part of me considered bolting--running for the door. Their faces were plastered with anxiety, and I tried to think of what I had done. Nothing clear came to mind. Once I finally sat down, I looked at my parents and said, “What's wrong?”…

Hugging the coast of North Carolina and southern Virginia is a two-hundred miles long strip of barrier islands known as the Outer Banks. The northernmost island of the Outer Banks is a narrow spit of land called Bodie Island. Located on the northern part of the island is a quaint, little town named for a common species of waterfowl. Duck, North Carolina, is my favorite vacation spot because the food places are all locally owned, there are a variety of outdoor activities to choose from, and it is a wonderful place for…

One morning a long time ago, my mom woke me up early. “It’s time to go,” she said. Go, go where I asked? “Today, we are moving to Florida,” she said. My big brown eyes began to fill up with hot salty tears. I don’t want to go, I said over and over again. You and your sibling are going to be moving to Florida with me. Again, I cried aloud, I don’t want to go. Who will take care of me? Where will I sleep? And what will I eat and drink? Consequently, all of my pleas for mercy to reside longer with my daddy was ignored, and apparently fell on deaf ears.…

Sometime during the school day I received a text from my grandma telling me that her and my grandpa were going to pick me up at 2:20. As I walked outside a car started honking at me. Then, my grandma rolls down the window, but unexpectedly I see my uncle from Georgia in the driver seat. As I continued walking my uncle that thought he was hilarious at the time honked with every step that I took. While my grandparents thought it was the funniest thing ever, I thought it was very embarrassing. Minus the humiliating moment of everyone seeing me get in the non-stop honking car, I was very excited to my uncle Chris. All four of us then went back to my grandparents house to spare some time while my mom got off work at 4:30.…

The other vacation was a week’s trip to King’s Dominion; yes it was still called that back then. We left King’s Dominion, and went to Williamsburg Busch Gardens. They did not have the historical park and the colonial times park they have now was not as elaborate back then as it s now, it was mostly an amusement park with beer. That last part was to my father’s delight I might add. We actually stayed in a motel it was a lot of fun. So vacations have never been a big part of my life. I also have never really cared for the beach or water. I do not swim but I love the sun. I have always liked the beach though. My Aunts used to take me to Greenbrier, which is not a real beach, but I always had fond memories of those trips. Later in life I spent winters in Florida and loved living on the beach.…
