Cultural Etiquette and daily practices
The topic on CCU class last week is about cultural etiquette and daily practices. The first group compare about cultural etiquette and daily practices between Indoensia and France. The first point that make me interested is the way French give gifts to other. They are more concerned with the packaging than the contents of the gift. Even tough, most of people especially
Indonesian, they will more concern with the contents of the gifts than the packaging itself.
The second interesting thing is the first group said that French are rude. But, France is known as the most romantic place in the world. From the statement, I think that most of
French are romantic people. So, how come romantic people are rude?
Another inetersting thing is educational program (compulsory) in France is shorter than educational program (compulsory) in Indonesia. France more concern about the quality than the period. But in the other hand, Indonesia think that the period of education is more important than the quality.
So, my question are- how if etiquette and daily practices in French is applied in
Indonesia? Can Indonesia become a great country like France if Indonesia do that?
Okay, by the way I will tell you about the meaning of my name. actually there are 2 words in my full name but sometimes there is a mistake when some people write it down.
Some people usually write my full name in one words. Just “fakhrunnisa” or sometime just “fakhrunisa” without space between fakhrun and nisa. I think it’s small mistake. So, I don’t worry about that. My name is consist of 2 words. There are fakhrun and nisa. The meaning of fakhrun is the person who have a good personality and the meaning of nisa is a girl. So, the meaning of my full name is a girl who have a good personality. My name has beautiful meaning right? I’m so gratefull with my name. it’s just a simple name and everyone can mention and call me easily.

After we are born, we receive our own names. Names are chosen not by themselves, but by their family member’s. That is the first gift the baby owns and of course, it is free, but not everybody takes the free gift if they don't like it. Just like me and the girl I had read about in the article, “My Name," by Sandra Cisneros. We both don’t like our names because our names are not English names; indeed, it’s the different culture name.…

    A. Main Point #1: First, you need to think about how the name sounds when hearing it aloud. i. Sub-point sentence: In order to avoid any questions, when deciding on a name, think about your child’s point of view and imagine how he or she will have to live with it throughout their life.  Supporting material: Laura Wattenberg, a writer, researcher, and software designer, wrote in her 2013 book, The Baby Name Wizard, “we may see baby naming as an opportunity for personal expression. Use whatever criteria you like to narrow your name choices, but give the name this final test: if you were starting life today, knowing everything you know about this world, is this the name you would want to represent you?”…

I am an abnormal person (most of the time in a good way.) My personality is eccentric, along with my hobbies and skills. Much of my life is aberrant from beginning to end. The only thing that is boring is my name, Taylor, which my parents happily gave me. Surprisingly enough, I was not named after anyone, which I find very uninteresting. Taylor was originally a surname meaning “tailor,” but someone in England was so unoriginal that they decided to name their child a surname. I was born in 2002, making me 13 years old. I was born and somewhat raised in Memphis, but I moved shortly thereafter to Bartlett.…
