Narrative Essay On Joseph Moore
Joseph Tyler Moore is my name and I received my name from my dad’s middle name (his name is Ronald Joseph Moore, Also his middle name is Joseph because Tammy’s middle name is Joyce and that was the closest to that name). Also, Joseph means “God will increase”. As well, Moore means “someone who lives by a marsh”.
First, The kind of goals I made are get straight a’s, and have no discipline records is my graceful Mom (Katie), my dignified Dad (Ronald), my older cool sister is Kayla, my little energetic sister Madison, and shockingly Mrs. Plowman (we are related because she is my great grandma's, brothers, daughter). My friends are Trent, Dylan, Ryan, Hayduke, Jackson, Johnny, Grant, etc. My hobbies/interests are playing sports, becoming an

I will always remember the kids that were playing there and I think that some of those kids would go to the mlb. So me and my dad finally arrived at the ballparks and I then rolled my bag over to where my team was staying. I then slowly walked over to my team and began to greet them. My coach looked really familiar and he was bald and wearing these shaded glasses. I also remember one of the kids named Derek who went and tossed with me in the grass on one the fields we were by and every time he went up to bat he would use a wooden bat and he hit very well in each game. We then played 2 games, one against white and one against gray. It was very funny playing the white team because Johnny, Logan, and Nick were all on that team (they used to be on the same team). Anyway, my team did well and we won against white team but lost to the gray team. I was ⅗ as an average in each game. So now on to the exciting part. The very next day, there were these challenges that everybody did called Golden Arm, Base Running, and the Homerun Derby. I decided to do the Golden Arm and the Base Running. In the base running, I didn’t do so well (the guy in first was a minute faster than me), but in the Golden Arm, that is a different story. So basically you had to stand in front of the mound and

My entire life has been centered around starting my career and getting to do what I love. I want to help people. That is why I’ve worked so hard throughout school, I want to be successful in my life goals. This can be seen in the academic history I have. For example, I have a 4.1 GPA, a 28 on my ACT and I have over 100 hours of volunteer work. I’ve devoted a large amount of time to my community and I’ve always wanted to be a positive person who helps others in any way I can. I have also committed to my career, I attend Summit Technology Academy for Pre- Professional nursing and I will graduate with my CNA. I hope to go straight into my area of choice and work at a hospital, right out of high school. Overall, I have…

I love to write, I was a finalist in the Veteran’s Day essay in sixth grade and I spend my free time writing, reading or making up stories. Currently I’m writing a book called “Dark April” which is about all the bad things that happened on April 14th. This includes a long list such as Lincoln’s assassination, the first Jews reported at Auschwitz, the cure for typhoid is created and the sinking of the Titanic. I love to push my boundaries, and try new things like food or books. I love to learn about the world and have been to a few countries, however not as many as I would like to one day see. I received S.O.M (student of the month) four times in seventh grade, making honor roll three times, and receiving M.A.G.I.C student a total of seven times. I was placed into honors English and Spanish and even started my own sports blog. However my biggest academic achievement would be receiving the President’s Award for Outstanding Academics. I pride myself on my speaking skills, preforming in my church’s annual Christmas pageant and even forcing my brothers to be in my holiday plays in my basement. I enjoy doing readings during school Mass. I love little kids, so I took a baby sitting course called Safe Sitter. I read to little kids in the basement of my old church during mass, sang songs and did crafts with them because readings and Homilies are to complex for a bunch of three and five year olds. I went to the soup kitchen in Waukegan and helped out there for the afternoon, and I helped set up a haunted house at the Gorton community center for little kids, even helping re arrange paperback books at the library. I love being a leader because I stick up for what’s right. I’m independent and I don’t care what others think of me. I donate money to charities such as the Hole In The Wall Gang, which is now known as SeriousFun. I also ran a 5K for VIE, a group…

I would like to start off with a simple, yet powerful quote, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” -Wayne Gretzky. This quote does truly speak levels, which is why when I take shots I go big or I go home. I want to become a registered CPA and I would like to become the President of the University of Central Florida’s Phi Beta Lambda. I believe I can achieve these goals because of how I have adapted, developed, and changed over just my high school years. I would like to start off by saying I was not a public school child initially, my mother homeschooled me. In fact, 9th grade year was my first year in public school. I was an average teenager, I took all regular and one intermediate class. Little did I know I would be taking dual enrollment…

“GET HOME!!! GET HOME!!!” Those were the words my dad would yell from the third base coach’s box as I passed him rounding third! Baseball to me is more than just a game! Baseball is a passion, fueled by the desire to succeed, the passion to overcome, and the dedication to be great. A baseball field to me is like a stage is to a dancer or an open road for a biker; I just love every aspect of this amazing sport. It’s the field with its seemingly unfair depth, its soft green grass and the infamous red dirt, that make me have the passion for the game like my father did as a child. My life seemed to be limitless when I was in between that fence. Taking cuts on the tee, putting together a pickup game that didn’t matter who won or lost, or even on those days that practice seemed to never end, I still had the love for the game.…
