My Writing Seminar Professor

The most important resource I have used so far is my Writing Seminar professor. As I have learned in class, for twelve straight years, English teachers taught you how to master the mechanics of academic writing. However, in my current writing class, my professor focuses on the methodology, or “doing things with text.” Personally, this is a new approach to academic writing. Therefore, I feel obliged to asking as many questions as possible, which is something I am used to doing. Many people perceive the idea that teachers feel irked when one asks too many questions. However, like my high school teachers, my writing professor is absolutely open to answering any question, because she knows that all her students are also learning a new rhetoric.
