Students would be more productive if only they knew how much potential they really have. We are capable of learning in so many different forms of education. It’s up to teachers to shape students with a productive and positive outlook on learning. Students should then consume that lesson from their instructor developing correct learning curve.…
“You will need to identify the learning needs, styles, aspirations and potential of your learners. What they expect to learn may not be what you expect them to learn” Gravells, (2008. 37).…
If teaching were as simple as using the one best way to teach everything, it would be considered a science. However, there isn’t just one correct method to teach everything. That is the reason teaching is an art. If teaching meant to follow a text book and a “one size fits all” approach, then anyone would be a master teacher. That is why teachers and especially special educators unique and special. That is why teachers know that individual needs, strengths and weaknesses must be considered to make the instructional process successful and geared to equip the student to achieve his optimum skills and abilities to meet the challenges of daily living.…
is key in learning, but what is one to do when everybody teaches differently. Teachers must try to accommodate the need of every student, which is difficult because there are twenty or more students in every class with differing learning styles. Most people know how they learn, but some are still trying to figure out how to fully comprehend what they are learning.…
To enable and assess learning it is important to understand how individuals learn. Individuals learn in different ways and at different speeds. As a teacher it is important to understand the theories of how and why people learn so that the individual needs of the learner are addressed. Learning theories have been more influential since the early 1990’s. (Avis, 2010)…
Learners not only come from different cultures and backgrounds but they also differ in their abilities, needs, and the way they learn. Their differences must be recognised and considered by teachers who should treat them fairly and value each individual regardless of any differences. This way, learners will feel welcomed and included into the learning environment, engaged, empowered and supported by teachers (Gravells, 2008).…
At the beginning of the play, Othello is a respected noble figure, he clearly shows his love for Desdemona and takes his job seriously. “Keep up your bright swords...” this quote shows how Othello started off as a strong and calm character.…
Learning styles can be looked at in several ways. We will see this through the eyes of three different authors along with three different articles. Can Generations Xers Be Trained ?, by Shari Caudron, A Tale of Four Learners, by Bernice McCarthy, and Improving the Dietary Patterns of Adolescents Using a Computer-Based Approach, by Krista Casazza and Michele Ciccazzo, we will discover that there are many ways to learn the use of different styles and methods of learning. The authors of each of the three essays use tools and patterns for their purpose to work their learning styles in the setting that relates to a certain group of people that can be comparable and different. We will look at the three authors information stating…

It is important to realize that every student is different, so teaching every student the same is illogical. Some students are visual while other students are kinesthetic, but schools still teach everyone the same while knowing that. In the YouTube “I Sued The School System” it states “All students learn differently, so we should be implementing a system in which students are getting the proper education.” He states that he wants students to get the “proper education” by…
We cannot assume that just because a teacher teaches, a learner learns. The process is far more complex than one of received input and intended outcome. This is because teachers, when engaging with learners, are not involved in programming machines; the learning process involves humans who are diverse in their needs, development, attitudes, values and beliefs.…
Education is quite the central focus in our current society. As the economy advances, education becomes of greater importance and our student’s future is strongly dependent on their educational opportunities. As many theorists have proven, there is no one way of teaching that targets an entire audience. Instead, every child has their own unique learning style that they respond best to. Any educator that takes on the responsibility of teaching must familiarize themselves with the different approaches so they observe the “No child left behind” act and fulfill their duty as a teacher. The many different approaches to learning include Behavioral, Social Cognitive, Information Processing, Constructivist, and Brain-based.…
Nelson Mandela stated that, “Education is the most powerful weapon which one can use to change the world.” This is true. Every human should want to be educated, because the world is full of technology which influences our world greatly. People who are not educated enough will surely be uniformed and left behind in today’s society. Technology is in business officers, schools, hospitals, doctor offices, stores, homes, and many other places. Today, the school systems start off with teaching the students how to use computers in kindergarten. The students are using this knowledge that they have learned from school and relating it to their parents. Parents should keep their children in school so they can learn everything which being taught by the instructor, and by doing this, the outcome will be rewarding. Teachers are a gift to students and parents because they are teaching the students everything that there is to learn about education. Without teachers, students will not learn the knowledge they need to succeed in this world without a good education.…
When students reach college, or higher education schools, the professor’s desire to accommodate students starts to decline, especially with caring about the way that their students learn differently. The inability of higher education to accommodate students with different learning styles is an unavoidable issue. Every student learns differently, but you can group the learning styles into four main categories: visual learning (learn by seeing), auditory learning (learn by hearing), kinesthetic learning (learn by moving), and tactile learning (learn by touching). Learning styles are influenced by a student’s genetic make-up, their previous learning experiences, their culture, and the society that they live in. I believe that if schools were to take a little bit of time to find out who their students are and how they can accommodate their learning styles more effectively, then there would not only be a higher success rate in the education system, but students would be a lot happier with their work.…
