encourage others to give their all. These things are illustrated by the accomplishments I have enumerated on the cover page. My accolades, however, are not nearly as important as the things I have learned while achieving them.
Through my time in NJROTC, I have learned to be respectful and disciplined, I have been tempered and taught tact, and I have grown to love helping my community. I learned more working with others, especially at the food bank, than I often did in the NJROTC classroom. While in college, I will continue to volunteer and give my time and energy to those in need. Upon research into the different groups on campus, I decided the best way to be involved in community outreach is through a sorority. The sororities at William and Mary have a wonderful reputation and are well known for their philanthropy. As a Sister, I will be able to surround myself with peers who want to make a difference in the community as I do. I intend to use this scholarship to pay the dues for whichever sorority I join.
