At this point, Beethoven took the title page and ripped it in half. The symphony was renamed "Sinfonia Eroica" and dedicated it in celebration of a great man.
Beethoven's Third Symphony was seen as a significant piece in the history of music and marked the start of the second phase of his career. Out of admiration for Napoleon, Beethoven kept the symphony. He also didn’t try to change the parts in Eroica's Funeral March that looked like the many funeral arrangements of the French Republic that Beethoven was clearly aware of. In the end, it was for practical and financial reasons that Beethoven could no longer publicly recognize Napoleon as the motivation for the
