“My First journey by airplane”

It was a foggy morning in the middle of November. Dew was glittering on the bright green grass. Even though the day was the last day in my country, I was very excited to go to the U.S.A and to journey by airplane for the first time in my life. It was an important experience for me because I introduced to the American food habits, their good behavior and that was important for me, when I was going to the U.S.A for the first time. My parents and I were preparing to go to the airport by a car. The car was going ahead with my excitement. When I reached the airport, I saw all of my cousins were waiting outside to say goodbye to me. I entered the secure room after saying goodbye to all. I thought it would be a memorable scene when I entered the airplane using the stairs, but nothing happened like that. I entered the airplane using a path as if I transferred from one room to another. When I sat on my chair, I was surprised to see a TV screen in front of me. I tried a lot to start the TV using the buttons and at last I succeed. I was sorry that my seat was in the middle of the airplane so I could see nothing outside. After a few moments, somebody announced to fasten seatbelts and to switch off all electronics like mobiles, laptops etc. Then I felt that the airplane was running, but it was so slow that I thought I would not be able to reach America within a month. Suddenly the airplane went too fast and took off into the sky. I was very scared and I felt I could fall down anytime. There was a couple sitting beside me and they looked at me with surprise. Later, a girl came with lots of food and I was surprised to see the items of food that I never ate before. The items were cakes, butter, breads, cream cheese and broccoli. Even though I came from a moderate family, I never ate this type of foods. That was the first

Because I was at the back, I couldn't tell what was going on in the first class section. Three people with red bandannas entered the cockpit. The had left one person outside of the cockpit who was holding something in his hand. After a minute or so, they came back out of the cockpit dragging two bodies behind them. They went back in the cockpit and within a minute we were told from the new pilot that they had a bomb on board. They allowed us to make phone calls. I was the first one to be able to make a call. My parents didn't pick up the phone, so I left a message telling them that my plane had been hijacked. After I left a message, I sat down in my seat and let others…

When I was young I always dreamed of flying on a plane. Finally, my dream was coming true, and I was on my way to the USA where I had always known I would end up. This was my first trip on an airplane, and it was also one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I remember everything about my first flight, and it was a lot to remember since it took twenty-seven hours from start to finish. The fight did have one stop in Japan, but that was just to change planes. Once my parents and I got onto the plane and sat down, I started to look at everything around me. I noticed the small white air vents right above my head with little lights next to the vent. It was so great because the controls were right on my armrest. There was a place on the armrest to plug the headphones in in order to listen to music or watch a movie. After everyone got settled into their seats, the airhostess came over the intercom and explained all of the safety procedures. But I am going to tell you; I couldn’t understand what they say, besides staring at their body language. They also showed everyone how to put the seat belts on correctly. After the airhostess was done with…

I strongly believe that if one is to be successful in society, setting goals and prioritizing them is very crucial. Having your goals set and prioritizing them does not only give you a clear focus on things you have to do, but it helps you to organize your plans so that you can set time limit and boundaries in achieving those goals. There are so many goals that I want to achieve my life. Since goals can only be achieved if they are realistic, timing and attainable, I have categorized my goals into long and short term goals.…

The word “Mỹ” (America) would strike up interest to ears around. America was portrayed as the land of freedom and riches. It is everyone’s dream to go to there and just sniff the grass from the vast acres of land. That was their dream not mine. The news dropped like a bomb on me. Everyone kept congratulating me and telling me that I was very lucky to have that opportunity. On the plane, I sat and counted every hour it took to get to the big, unknown, land. 73 hours if I remembered correctly.…

    Narrative Voice

Unless a story is written from someone's point of view there is no story. Within literature, two commonly used viewpoints are First person and Third person limited. First person is where the narrator is a character in the story; and Third person limited is told from a character's perspective. A writer will choose the point of view that they believe will best convey their message. At the heart of that choice is their choice of narrator or narrative voice. So when we talk of narrative voice, what we really mean is the view point of the person telling the story. The narrative voice that emerges from a text, engages the reader by giving them information. The information allows us to construct meaning as we read. The voice controls the information we receive at each and every stage of the story. The information we get may create a better understanding of a particular character or characters, which may enable us amongst other things to like or dislike them.…
