According to the book, the method I chose was retention. The book says that there are two types of retention called active and passive. Sadly, both were included in my decision making that day. Maybe I could take another route or do the smart thing and go the speed limit. The first time I retained the risk by choosing to break the law. If I had controlled the risk, maybe I wouldn’t have gotten the ticket. I could have even saved my $75. I probably would have bought a radar detector with it, just to be on the safe side. I wouldn’t have gotten my car taken away, even though that lasted for all around 15 minutes. I had to be at college the same day. In conclusion, I would do things differently if I had the chance. There was no way I could have avoided the risk. But I would control the risk instead of retaining it. There are many ways I could have controlled the risk, but just chose not to. I was just being a spoiled brat that day and it bit me in the
