My Fight with My Best Friend. This story is about true friendship and getting over the small things… My best friend, Crystal, is a short 5 foot 4 inch hot head, that can be caring, but she lets little things bother her, just like I do, and she gets angry quickly, also like me. Maybe that is why we are such good friends, we are so much alike. We have been friends for about 7 years now and last year we had the biggest fight where we didn’t speak for months. It seemed like so much happened in that time that we really missed out on some of the most important days of each other’s lives. It started with my second child’s birthday, Olivia. In middle of April, when spring weather is fabulous and the flowers are blooming and birds singing, Crystal was over at my house planning Olivia’s first birthday party. We took a few weeks off from planning her wedding so that we could focus on the birthday party, I was going to be the maid of honor so I was the one helping her do everything, so she was the one helping me for my daughter’s party. We had the windows up, enjoying the fresh air, and listening to music, and my oldest son, Trevor, and Olivia playing in the back bedroom. We were in the floor with every shade of pink paper you could imagine, cutting pretty scalloped circles out for the “Minnie Mouse” themed party décor. The party was only a week away, and I was getting very excited as was Crystal because she and Olivia share a birthday. I know that is just awesome, my best friend and my daughter share the same birthday! We still had a lot to do, but Crystal was over at my house every day helping me finish the preparations for the party, so we were both working just as hard on it. Well only 2 days before the party Crystal met me at Wal-Mart, on a Thursday when it wasn’t going to be so busy, so that we would have plenty of time to really make sure we got all of the groceries for the party.
