How do Narwhals Relate to Humans

Humans use narwhals for various reasons. One of the many reasons are for their tusks or tooth atop of the upper lip which is eight and a half feet long for males. Narwhal's eat fish, shrimp, and squid. Since they eat those specific foods there isn't an overload in the species. Since there is no overload we can have the same ecosystem which means we can have a balanced number of fish. Which helps us so that we can fish correctly. People also use narwhals

To protect themselves from being eaten by a polar bear or an orca the narwhal has to use their echolocation which is found in their tooth, that is located in their upper lip as I have mentioned. They use this echolocation to find exactly where the predator is. They can also use their echolocation as another defense. They use it to stun the enemy. To avoid the enemy so that they don't have to stun the predator they swim in the dark.

In What Habitat does the Narwhal live in? You ask where do narwhals live? I can tell you there location! Most of the narwhals live in the Arctic. A lot of narwhals like to hide under the ice. Since they like to hide under the ice they have to learn how to either break the ice or go through or around the ice. They have to learn this because they can only breathe under the water for so long before they run out of breath.

Narwhals

Narwhals are the unicorns of the sea, because of their tooth. Not the horn, the tooth can be at least eight and a half inches long for the male. They live in the Arctic and like to hide under ice. They have echolocation located in there upper tooth to protect themselves from predators. That is what you have learned from this

    Anglerfish Research Paper

    • 706 Words
    • 3 Pages

To begin, one of the first adaptations the Anglerfish has is its “cloak” or color. According to NationalGeographic.com while it lurks in the Abyssal Zone, Anglerfish are ordinarily somber gray to gloomy brown in color. Although it is really flummoxing you can’t see them, this helps it because normally the sand in the ocean is dark “gray” to brown so Anglerfish can camouflage, hide from predators, and mischievously sneak attack their prey. Exquisitely, another adaptation is the special lure. Proclaimed by the NOAA says that when outside their home, women Anglerfishes main reasoning to operate this bright fish/prey attracting lure is to “invite” prey. This helps the women to survive because all animal need food so the only way for her to get food is to lure the animal over. When knowing this, anglerfish have amazingly huge mouths for their third adaptation! As mentioned by the NOAA, “they have very large mouths filled with sharp teeth!” This helps the survival because once Anglerfish (women only) have lured prey, they can catch the prey fast and easily. It’s like the fish is forced in a tank knowing it will…

Carcharhinus Leucas or bull sharks are the only species of sharks that are able to travel long distances and spend extended periods of time in freshwater environments. Although many people disagree, I believe that one of the bull sharks’ main reason for entering freshwater is to find breeding grounds. There is evidence that supports this theory, and it seems to me a very logical explanation, however it is a controversial concept. In this paper, I will discuss what physical characteristics allow bull sharks to survive in both marine and fresh waters, and attempt to understand whether they do this…
