The entire country is much larger than an office but they can run nearly identical. You have the people on top, (CEO’s, “upper class” Americans, the POTUS and government), who are followed by the people in the middle, (Executives and “middle class” Americans, governors), and then those who are under them, (interns and lower positions and “lower class” Americans, smaller political roles ). The boss of a company can tell his or her employees to be more inclusive with diversity but without setting an example there is little to follow. American citizens can tell each other to be more inclusive but without any direction as to how to go about this, there isn’t any change. As a community, we suggested to these companies that they should sit down and talk, we suggested experiencing other cultures and making a conscious effort to understand. This doesn’t need to be done in an office, it can be done everyday in society. Just sit down and get to know someone. Ask them why they believe something but do so with an open mind and without expectation to share your beliefs. Just sit down to listen, not to talk. Take time to experience another culture if you can. Once society can begin to do these collectively as a whole, there will be a bridge beginning to build over this division and begin to unify us as not only American citizens but also has
