We often think that genetic characteristics are formed from the parents, but the truth is they do not. Is it true that genes do exactly what the people who hold the same genes? I’m sure that over a period the brain changes and the nature of the human can change. Even as a human being we all have animalistic ways that affect out behavior patterns every day. Some of us are protective, some of us are fighters, etc. All of these resonate with our nature and that makes us who we are. I’m sure one could say parenting sometimes tells a lot about the child and one could say that the child says a lot of about the parenting. When I think of parenting I really can’t say what I feel is good when it comes to nurture versus nature. Ones idea of nurturing as well as nature could have separate point of views when it comes to what is positive and what is considered negative. It’s possible for a person to grow up in a non-nurturing household and learn to become a nurturer. In life I’ve seen people who come from a parent who do not care about the kids and they become nurturing. A friend of mine became a very good parent in our later years. Growing up his mom never came to any events, she done drugs and many other things that he talks about that he makes sure he doesn’t repeat, even …show more content…
that could only be true if he was a bad parent or is that proof that genes have nothing to do with the nature of the person? There is a study by Dr. John Watson that says you could give him a dozen healthy infants and their own world to grow up in he guarantees that he can take any one of the infants and train them to become any type of specialist. His stipulations are no talents, penchants, tendencies or abilities from the ancestors. That’s a interesting concept to come up with. We all have had animalistic ways or either we still do. The next study I had a chance to read was from Harvard psychologist B.F. skinner I’m which he produced evidence that a pigeon could dance, do figure eights, and play tennis and this today is very important to be familiar with when it comes to human behavior science. every time the pigeon turned to the left the pigeon was rewarded with a grain. This is called positive reinforcement. We often go through this everyday of our life. Nature helps the explain some of our animalistic ways. To evaluate the differences between nature versus nurture it takes denying yourself; according to Lyman Abbott’s “A study in human nature.” After reading this information I concluded that it plays no differences when it comes to the DNA to determine why a person does what
