Nature Vs. Nurture
What is nature vs nurture? This is one of the topics that has been around for a long period of time. Nature meaning the inborn, innate character of an organism, and nurture is the sum total of the environmental factors that affect an organism from conception onward. The reason why this topic has been around for so long is because we can not decide which of the two influences more in our everyday lives. Some of the most important topics for me are behaviorism, intelligence, smart, and being successful in life. These are good debates that have many important facts. In my opinion, nature and nurture both have an impact on how people behave, their intelligence, and how successful they are in life. One of the factors that has influenced me the most is nurture. I believe is influential because looking around my environment makes me want to become a better person everyday. Being a better person for me includes not doing drugs, not getting in trouble, and also to staying in school. Also, I think that nature has had a impact in my life but not as much as nurture. One example of nature that has affected me could be in how I act or even my looks, and an example of nurture is how I act based on the environment around me. Our looks are important because everyone's looks come from their parents in some way or another even if …show more content…
Is the way we behave affected by nature or nurture? In my opinion, the way we behave has to do with a little of both.. I say that both matter because you could to do something because of peer pressure, for example your friends are drinking and you don't want to stay behind so you feel pressured do it that's where nurture would come in. You could do something that just comes from you, like doing something in the community because you want to and not because everyone else is doing it and this would be and example of nature. This is why I think that both have an impact in a person's

Nature vs Nurture are studies that have been going on for years within the scientific community to explain multiple issues. Some studies will suggest that nature makes us who who are, meaning genetic factors are the major contributor of being who we are. These include what personality traits, intelligence, and emotional characteristics we will inherit from our parents. Thus, these studies ultimately state we are genetically predisposed in deciding who we become. On the other side of the debate is the nurture studies, meaning environmental factors are the major contributors to shaping us into who we are or become. This include your upbringing, your lifestyle, home environment and the way someone was interacted with, taught or treated as a young child.…

Nature vs Nurture debate does not have a firm conclusion to say which one has more value as it is a debate that has been discussed between philosophers to identify which one has more influence in our lives. Some philosophers argue that the nature is most influential in our lives as it is part of our genetic makings, something that we cannot change even if we want to. Others argue that nurture is more influential as it determines our personality and our perspective of things, the way we view things. For example, a teenager wanting to be a doctor when they grow up is not part of our nature, it goes more towards nurture because it is the way we are brought up that influences our decisions in life. If a child had a parent who is a doctor and they watch their parent making people feel becoming well, then they might want to do the same as they might get fascinated by it. This decision that the child made to become a doctor is the doing of nurture because the child was influenced by what he saw around him. Nature on the other hand is nothing that can be fixed or change at any cost. For example, if a child was born…

This characteristic resembles active, but includes the athletic and a physical activity associated with engaging in an action. Although being athletic seems as simple as tossing a ball around the backyard, it’s difficult to measure the amount fitness and effort required for a completive competition such as a marathon. It’s also important to consider calculating the athletic statistics and achievements of an individual throughout a game or even an entire career. The nature and nurture debate is a debate on whether aspects of your life such as; gender, sexuality, illness, intelligence, personality, etc. is determined by your genes you get from your parents (nature) or if it is influenced by the environment you are brought up in (nurture). For example, you place a monkey and a young child in the same environment would that have an effect on their personality. A biological theorist who supports the nature side of the debate would argue that the environment wouldn’t influence their personality it would be different because of the genes passed on from their parents. However, a social theorist that supports the nurture side…

Let’s talk about the whole controversy between Nature vs. Nurture. Nature is based on DNA. Many people believe that it is DNA that decides on how humans will behave, what occupations they will have, and what their personalities will be like. Others, on the other hand, believe that it is the environment, or nurture, that decides on occupation, behavior, and personality. Although nature does decide on what color hair you have, what eye color you have, and what your height is, nurture has the greatest impact on humans and influences people the most to different kinds of activities, meet different people, and the difference between what is right and wrong.…

Through time, psychologists have argued over whether only our genes control our behaviors in life or if the environment and the people surrounding us have any effect in our lives. This is called nature versus nurture. We do not know what dictates our behavior, or if it is a combination of both. One question is, if genes control our behavior, are we really responsible for our actions? I think that if we can make choices we are responsible for our actions. While or genes influence various aspects of our personalities, there is no denying that our environment has some effects too. Our genes make us, but our experiences and our surroundings shape the way we behave as people. The people we grow up with, especially our…
