Chapters 6-14 are really good chapters. It mostly talk about the Ndoli and Emma because they like each other. Ndoli is always sitting on the tree and Emma says he is beautiful and she wants him to be with her. At the beginning she sees the guy that killed her mother and she gets really scared to see and she thought the might kill her. She felt really bad and she was shaking that day so Mukecuru stayed with her and helped her. The survivors were laughing and they were going to go talk about their stories. She has has passed through bad stuff in this chapter but she also fell in love.
I can understand this because once a friend told me that his great grandparent had being death because some people tried to kill him but he
survived and then but she's already mature and likes people which I can compare that because we maybe in the future would like someone and feel what she's feeling, and remembering of all her grandpa's memories. My grandpa has not died but he will always love us.
The words in this chapter werent that hard but there were some like in pg.50 the word pothole. “It was carrying a dozen prisoners, their hazy pink silhouettes jolting together perfectly each time the vehicle hit a bump or a pothole.” This word is like a whole on the street. Other word I didn't understand was hum in pg.53.“She leaned her head against the old woman’s knee, and Mukecuru softly began to hum one of Emma’s favorite lullabies.” This word means like to sing. Then last but not least jolting in pg.50.“It was carrying a dozen prisoners, their hazy pink silhouettes jolting together perfectly each time the vehicle hit a bump or a pothole.” It means to bump or bounce.
