Nelson Mandela had a wonderful life when he was younger but he also had a lot of obstacles. When Nelson was born july 18, 1918 in Mvezo. He comes from a very large and noble family. Nelson and his family were Xhosa people, members of the Thembu tribe and Madiba clan. Nelson has 12 siblings and 4 wives. When Nelson's father died he had to move in with Regent Jongintaba. The first day at school he got bullied. He went to college when he was 19 years old. When he left college he joined a law firm. In 1943 he graduated from college. In 1952 he was chosen as the national Volunteer in chief of the defiance campaign. In 1962 mandela left south africa and traveled to Europe. In 1964 Mandela went to jail and stayed there for 27 years. He went to jail because he fought his hardest against the government. If he didn't believe he would never have went to jail but it was all worth waiting because he got out and accomplished a lot.
