Introduction:
The Judicial system in the United States is made up by the Federal court and State court system and each court is responsible for hearing certain types of cases. The major goals of the both court systems are to solving legal disputes and vindicating legal rights. The State court system is made up with the two sets of trial courts that are the trial court of limited jurisdiction and trial court of general jurisdiction.
The Trial court of limited jurisdiction deals only with the specific types of cases and located near the cities and usually presided over by a single judge. The example of trial court system includes:
Family court: The family court handles the family matters such as adoption, divorce, …show more content…
alimony, child support, custody etc.
Probate court: The probate court handles the matters regarding administrating the decedent’s estate.
Traffic court: this court handles the matters regarding minor violation of traffic laws.
Small claims court: the small claim court handles the matters regarding the private claims of the person’s relatively low dollar amount such as less than $5,000.
Juvenile court: The Juvenile court handles the disputes regarding delinquent children or minor children who are under age 18 or 21.
Municipal court: municipal court handles the disputes involving violence against the city.
The Trial Court of General Jurisdiction deals with the case outside the Trial court of limited jurisdiction and this is the main trial court in the state court system.
The Trial court of general jurisdiction handles both civil and criminal cases.

The Supreme Court:
The Supreme Court is a chief justice or the administrative head of the court system that has all appellate jurisdictions in all civil and criminal cases.
The District Court: The District Court has jurisdiction over all matters except the municipal court and jurisdiction of justice. This court has jurisdiction over the Juvenile Court as explained above.
The Specialty Court: Nevada State’s Court system has four specialty courts those handle mattes related to mental health, drugs, veterans and gambling problems. These courts are operated by the district courts and provide the treatment programs to address the basic problems with mental illness, drugs, mental disorder and problem gambling. The Justice Court: The Justice Court are the courts under limited jurisdiction that handles civil cases not exceeding ten thousands dollar in damages, small claims, traffic cases, misdemeanors and other matters. There must be at least one Justice Court in each city or township of the State.
The Municipal Court: This court is also come under the trial court of limited jurisdiction and these courts handles the violence cases of city ordinances within the city. Each city of Nevada has Municipal court.
The Court Caseloads: since, Nevada State doesn’t have an intermediate court of appeals therefore, the caseloads of Nevada State’s Supreme Court is higher than other States.
