to the capitalist system. The impending violence and scarcity that threaten so many throughout the world, so in a more just, global order, vegan, could provide nutritious plant based food and freshwater may provide alternatives to exploit animals. Widespread of global veganism is necessary for a nonviolent and sustainable future. Eating aquatic animals, may cause environmental harms and risks to human health. It evens contribute to the scarcity of finite resources (Nibert 265). Today, capitalism promotes domesecration on an enormous level. Transcending capitalism will not automatically bring the world about a just world and end of all animal domesecration, but is a necessary precondition. First, capitalists have long used mass-media technology to socially engineer the public consciousness (Nibert 266). Second, is the power of animal industrial complex and other huge, well known industries exert over government policy and decision making (Nibert 267). The third is the economic marginalization and financial struggles that consume the mass of citizenry (Nibert 268). It matters to the author because the ways humans use animal can effect a negative change to our society. It relates to counter discourse because Nibert provides examples that of improving the environment by global veganism, capitalism, and welfarism. I think reading this help me understand religion and animal a lot better.
We are using animals in such a horrific way that causes negative changes to the environment. We should always think what this world be if we didn’t have the things we have. We would be miserable and everything would be a competition. There’s lots of people out there working to try to make a difference in this world, but also need people to get involved. It fitted into our course goals and objective because it made me realize how much our world is so corrupt. The only thing we could do is change our ways of thinking, so we can actually live in a peaceful and stable society. Not to think, that we could lose everything in an
instant.
