Think creatively what would a Filipino city look like, if it had been allowed to develop historically
Under other influences?

I think Filipino city would be developed into a city that has more vertical structures. Because as of today Philippines already reach high poverty levels like overpopulation Is one of the major problems of a Philippine city. In 2030, the population of the Philippines will reach nearly 128 million, an increase of 32.1% from 2012. Population growth will be driven by increases in all age groups with particularly fast growth in the 60+ age groups. However, the Philippines will remain an overwhelmingly young country in 2030 with 71.4% of the population aged 40 years or under. The urban population will overtake the rural population for the first time in 2016 and by 2030 it will make up 56.3% of the population. I also see that the capital of the Philippines (manila) will expand and it will connected through a bullet train. One of the proposed project of today is connecting manila to clark using a bullet train. If the project is implemented it would effectively help the citizens to travel in long distances. As the proposed international airport will also be located on clark air base expecting to be implemented of 2040. This project will greatly benefit from each other. Also I see that the proposed vertical structures on the Philippines are more green, efficient and sustainable. And with modern technology I think that we can integrate technology with our
Structures to enhance architecture further. Getting the concept of a Bauhaus to our structures.
Also Vernacular structures will be developed into a prototype of modern vernacular structures.
In the first place, our own military men are opposed for strategic reasons. They maintain that were we to get out of the Islands, we should soon be replaced by some one else -- generally Japan is suggested -- and that the Filipinos would have a much harsher master.
