Non-Uniform
I believe wearing a school uniform is an obstacle of children’s right to individuality and self-expression. Everyone is unique, and so making children wear a school uniform takes away their individuality and personality. Maybe this discourages them from performing to their fullest potential, and exceeding to higher levels in their subjects?

I think most school uniforms are hideous and unappealing, and being forced to wear something that is not comfortable to a child is not good for their mental image. What happens if someone doesn’t like the colour green, red, yellow, grey or any other colour? If children were allowed to wear their own clothes at least they would be comfortable in it. In the case of younger children, if they got their only school jumper muddy, they wouldn’t have another one to wear the next day, which would mean they got told off at school.

Uniforms make parents spend more money unnecessarily. They are expensive, and parents already have to spend money on clothes for children to wear outside school. If children didn’t have to wear a uniform, parents would definitely have more money to save up to spend on bills, rent, tax and VAT.

People think that if children wore their own clothes, alliances and gangs would form according to social interests, fashion groups etc. I think these gangs or groups will still form even if everyone is wearing uniform; children would be bullied for other things except their clothes, maybe even encouraging racism. Because students are easily recognisable in school uniform, this may also encourage bullying and rivalry between pupils and

Having uniforms in schools also demolishes the levels of the social classes. Usually, the more popular and wealthier kids would be wearing the newest and trendiest clothing. The poor, lower social classes would not be able to afford those types of clothes and would be considered an outcast for not being able to keep up the newest trends.…

When was the last time you saw a child in their school uniform? Probably quite recently. But have you ever thought how these children feel ? their entire school is wearing the same thing they are wearing? These children wear the same thing every single day they go to school. The only time they get to wear their own style of clothes is on the weekend. Making children wear the same thing everyday, thinking it's a good idea that helps them in school, probably only makes them hate school more. Identification is one of the biggest factors ruled in against school uniforms. Many people state that you could easily site outsiders of the school, and it would also eliminate gang colors. If you have a school full of children with the same clothing on you would find it nearly impossible to identify a child who was causing trouble. One example is if someone caught a glimpse of a child stealing and then tried to give a description. The description would most likely fit a majority of the students in the…

Enforcing the European Union legal system is diverse and done on multiple platforms; through not only actions taken against member states for breach of their obligations, but also, for example, through the use of direct effect1. Article 267 TFEU; an organism devised to practice private enforcement of EU law before national courts, has been critical to ensure uniform interpretation and application of EU law in member states. References for preliminary rulings occur when the national courts are presented with a question of EU law due to uncertainty of the provision. The national court will therefore ‘make a reference to the Court of Justice (COJ) to obtain a preliminary ruling on any point of EU law relevant to the proceedings’2. In practice, the introduction of private enforcement of EU law before national courts had been significant to the success of legal order. However over recent years there has been an increase in advocating limiting the lower court’s power to send preliminary references, seeing the desire for a ‘national judicial hierarchy as an important element of the union judicial process’3. It has been proposed that preliminary references are ‘another infant disease’ of the community legal order4, highly unsatisfactory due to the heavy caseload.…

The second supporting reason for kids not to be required to wear uniforms is that if the kids wear uniforms they will not be able to spend their money. Without being able to pick out what to buy you can’t see creativity in them. Also if kids can’t buy all their clothes all the businesses will go out of businesses. Kids purchasing clothes adds to the growth of the economy.…

"Just slapping clothes on kids won't improve a school, but uniforms accompanied by other reforms can make a difference. Uniforms send a message and remind students that they are in school. One element of the message is that when you are going to school, that is your place of work. That is the place where you are working at getting smart." ~Joe Palumbo. Uniforms cause children to be more civilized and mature in what they are doing. It could lead the kids to a greater future and teach them to be more proper. First off school uniforms should be required because they promote good discipline. As well as school uniforms would reduce arguments over fashionable clothing. I have realized that children invariably tease those who do not have trendy clothes. As well as those who can’t afford name brand clothes are often sensitive about their clothing. This makes it more difficult on the teacher who have to deal with classes of 25-30 students at a time or more so.…

Families would save an unbelievable amount of money from school uniforms. Students wouldn't have to worry about buying the newest, hippest clothes which cost a fortune. One example of this would be a smaller laundry load. In addition, you wouldn't need to worry about rushing to get something washed for the next day because you already know what you will be wearing.…

Not very many schools around the United States make their students wear uniforms. According to the U.S. Department of Education, National Center for Education Statistics, during the 2013-14 school year only fifteen percent of schools required their students to wear uniforms. Some people believe that the use of uniforms will help decrease the amount of bullying and crime in schools. They also believe that by wearing uniforms, students will focus more on their school work instead of their clothes. On the other hand, I believe that the use of school uniforms limits a student's freedom to express themselves. Also, I believe school uniforms don’t help the amount of bullying, it could even make it worse if someone can’t afford a uniform. Lastly,…
