allows us to reconstruct the past, but also to anticipate what may occur in the near and distant future” (Moulton & Kosslyn, 2009).
Don’t visualize flying an airplane one day and the next day you go and get behind the controls expecting to be a pilot. That’s not what all this means nor how it works. Keep it realistic in order for the aforementioned to become a reality. When we are focusing our visions, on what we can control, taking it step-by-step, we start to mimic the reality of what we have been visualizing on, from a vision to reality. When I have to do a meet and great event, whether work related or family function, the day before, sometimes even days before I visualize myself being confident and enthusiastic, looking everyone in the eye, smiling, and shaking hands with everyone. Even visualizing other scenarios in case other situations develop that doesn’t go exactly as planned. Thus, whatever happens, I will be in control and the event will be a success. Maybe not CEO of a Fortune 500 company success, but it’s a success, ever the less. Remember success is the thing that you achieve to desire your aims or attain prosperity.
