I am able to draw three conclusions to answer my research question that investigates the characteristics and manifestations of Super Normal in creating a good and sustainable type design.
Good type design, as a dynamic concept, witness the changes of various principles over the time. A harmonious arrangement not only make compensations to the deficiencies of legibility, but also construct comfortable reading relationships between readers, typefaces and surrounding environment. In the thesis, to examine the readability of Super Normal typefaces, I mainly specified the matters of sizes and letter-spacing with the technological consideration of different media. Without doubt, a typeface is illustrated in a certain period of time, holding up the constraints of that time at the meanwhile, in order to transcend normal to Super Normal, the typeface adapts by appearing to change subtly over time, including contiguously function and aesthetic improvements together with more completed typeface families. However, that is not say the Super Normal typefaces have changed their structure or characteristics, their innate qualities allow the users and readers to rediscover their usefulness and beauties again and
