Normandy Beach Short Story

My family and I were in Normandy Beach for the week, we have been going to the beach everyday, swimming in the ocean, and getting out tans on. The temperature has been at least 97-99 everyday, not much humidity, which is good. Every night we would go out on the boat a little before sunset. Sometimes we would tub or eat dinner on the boat. We decided to skip the beach one day because it got really humid, and go out on the boat during the day. It was so humid from the second we woke up, we could feel it from just having breakfast outside on the deck under shade too. We really needed to do something different to cool our bodies down. We prepared by putting life vests on, bringing a tub and paddle board, and some yummy food/cold drinks, of course on to the boat. My cousins/brothers and I were soon headed out into the deep bay with a little nice breeze going through
Well of course I went last, and the wind started to pick up just t as I got up. As I am paddling more and more, they are driving the boat away more and more. My cousin who always jokes around with me is driving the boat and laughing now. I knew I would be fine, but I was still getting extremely nervous, and as that happens guess what else happens to me.. I get pooped on by a bird, so then they are all also laughing even more about that. From their on I thought to myself, I might as well just jump off the paddle board. They finally drove the boat over to me and I get back on. I was actually mad with my luck because I went last and this was now my second time getting pooped on a by a bird in the past two years. I wasn’t even suppose to go last, my twin brother was actually. And what is more funny, when I got pooped on last year, Liam told me to move down on a bench we were sitting on, and a minute later… that is when I got pooped on. Never understood why people say that is good luck.
