Nurse Anesthetist Goals

My purpose is to become a nurse anesthetist that can provide a patient with their anesthesia needs before, during and after surgery. Becoming a Nurse Anesthetist is important because ultimately, I feel this is not just for me, but for everything that I go through in the pursuit of this amazing career is to provide for my future family and to teach my kids what it takes to reach your own personal greatness. In doing this strive for greatness and achieving my goal, I will be able to be a part of a life-saving team and provide for my future family. My personal goals are to purchase my first car within the year of 2017 and to return to the sport of boxing and to start fighting at the amateur level. My academic goal is to earn a master’s degree
The academic pathway I will follow begins with an Associate in Science in the Traditional nursing program from Valencia College and I plan to graduate at the end of the fall semester in 2019. Then I plan to transfer to UCF to earn my Bachelor’s of Science in nursing in the ASN to BSN program. Graduation for BSN will be after the fall semester in 2022. After I achieve my BSN I will begin working for two years and then I will attend graduate school at the University of South Florida in the Nurse Anesthesia program in Spring of 2025 and completion will be after the spring semester of 2027. This goal is important to me because it paves the road to the future of my life. After about 20 years of school work in my entire life, all the headaches, stress, essays, and projects, that relate to school will all come to an end. Throughout the journey of academics, I will derive my motivation with mental self-questioning of “Where am I headed?” Focus is one of my strengths that keep me on my path and never let me forget my purpose.
