Nutcracker Concert Report

On a cold, December evening my mom, dad, sister, and I went to see the New York City Ballet’s production of “The Nutcracker”. Manhattan during Christmas tome is a perfect scene out of a movie, and we were so excited to see the show at Lincoln Center. We took the N train there, which was crowded and made me feel claustrophobic. However, that didn’t stop me from being thrilled to see the show. The long train ride over to Manhattan at night was beautiful; seeing the night lit up by the city’s skyline was a wonderful sight, even though it was freezing cold and it felt like my hands were going to fall off from frostbite. The Nutcracker is a timeless story, and we were overjoyed to be going to see it together as a family. The live orchestra was astounding, and the ballet dancers were graceful and elegant. The costumes definitely completed the show, and they shined on stage. The whole production was so well put together and you could tell that a lot of rehearsals went into making the show as marvelous as it is. The music, originally written by classical composer Tchaikovsky, was very pleasing to the ears. It instantly put me in a good mood. Even though the man’s head in front of me was partially blocking my view, I still had a pleasurable experience. After the show my whole family conversed about how amazing the performance was. On the way home on the train, I fell asleep. I was tired from the long night, but I had a great time. The ride home felt so long, and the train was empty. We finally got home and got ready for bed. The whole show was a pleasurable experience for all of us, and we were so happy that we got the chance to go. My amazing night at Lincoln Center was memorable for the whole family, and we are sure to never forget
