Increasing the yield to 85.2% will decrease the loss for the clear glass by $1,647.51 per month and reduce the loss of $2,417.04 per month for the LoĒ² 272. This slight increase can in yield can go a long way to increasing yearly profits. Through observation and yield versus lites per sheet the best ways to increase the yield are to try to eliminate the need for recuts, this is easier said than done with any number of problems that happen along the line for window assembly.…
When building many of the castles in the 1300-1400’s the main purpose was to keep the enemies out and of course for conquest. In the video I watched, the Forbidden Knowledge video, they called out some very key point of why and how these fortresses and castles where erected and defended. Not only where there kings of the lands, but then each of those lands were divided up to noble kin and lords. They were always trying to better there futures with more land, even if that included killing your own cousin to get his piece of land. One great example of an intuitive fortress, Caesar had made a donut shaped fortress at one point around a small town; he shut out and was starving the people in the town and then also keeping out the men that were…
Everywhere you go you are forced to see advertising, on billboards, on the internet, and even in schools. Advertising usually tries to target and convince a specific audience into wanting or being interested in whatever point of view or product the ad is trying to sale. In an advertisement for Old Spice deodorant there are multiple examples of ethos, pathos, and logos if analyzed accurately, there are also multiple flaws in this advertisement.…
1.1 - This can affect their sense of dignity and self-esteem and many people find it very hard to accept that they might need help from someone else in such an intimate area of their life. Incontinence can also affect someone’s day to day. Every day activities suddenly become a lot more challenging and many people get worried about leaving their own house.…
Diapers have been used by humans throughout history. But, the word diaper did not originally refer to its use. Instead, the term originally referred to a type of cloth with a pattern of small repeated geometric shapes. The first diapers were made of a special type of soft cloth cut in geometric shapes. The method of creating geometric shapes in cloth was called diapering, but it eventually gave the name of the cloth used in making diapers back in 1590s in England. Diaper is used on children who are not yet toilet trained to prevent bed-wetting and to keep babies’ skin clean and dry. While it was originally made of cloth material, several variations and improvements were made on the diaper resulting in the creation of disposable diaper. Unlike cloth diapers which can be washed and reused multiple times, disposable diapers are thrown away after use (Leverich). The boom of the disposable diaper industry suggests that it is more preferred by parents that its cloth counterpart. Parents choose what they think is best for their baby. Hence, while the use of disposable diaper has become a trend, it actually has a number of disadvantages that may want parents to reconsider using cloth diapers.…
“Need a moment? Grab a Twix!” We all know this famous line from every Twix candy bar commercial. The question “Need a moment?” as a general question can refer to a variety of things, ever realize though, that in every Twix commercial that the ‘needed moment’ is a moment for the men to find a cover story to save their ass? And how after ‘taking a moment’ to eat a Twix they come up with a believable excuse that every woman accepts without question. If you’ve never thought about that before you now are. One question that came to my mind when I found this similarity in commercials, which just might also be going through your minds as well, was why. Why would a company choose to advertise their product this way? The answer is simple; because it works. The commercials are using simple rhetoric to convince its audience to buy their product.…

Website visitors, UbyKotex.com, which was designed by the New York office of Organic, section of the Omnicom Group, are encouraged to sign a “Declaration of Real Talk,” pledging to defy societal pressures that discourage women from speaking out about their bodies and health. For every signer, Kotex donates $1 to “Girls for Change,” a national nonprofit based in San Jose, California, that puts together urban middle school and high school girls with professional women to encourage social change. According to Mr. Meurer of Kotex, “We’re really out there and we’re trying to touch women and say we care about this conversation.” We’re changing our brand equity to stand for truth and transparency and progressive vaginal care.” (The N.Y.…
The bathroom scene in Offside may be the best scene in the film. It shows that both the woman and the soldiers are victims in the Islamic system that is in place. The soldiers are very fearful of the “chief” however, it does not seem as though they are particularly bothered by having women at the stadium. Prior to this scene one soldier was giving play-by-play coverage to the women. When one woman had the use the bathroom, the soldier giving the play-by-play is chosen to escort her to the bathroom. The point is made that since sports are not meant for women therefore having to escort a woman to a men’s bathroom can be risky for the young solider. He decides to make her wear a poster as a mask to the bathroom, in order for nobody to see she…
Difficulties with continence can affect an individual’s self-esteem, health and their day to day activities. Incontinence sufferers have been known to lose self-esteem and confidence and even withdraw from their usual circle of friends and family. The fear of being found out can make an individual feel ashamed of their condition. These feelings as a whole can impact negatively on an individual’s life. If the incontinence is due to a urinary infection, this could cause intimacy issues, leading to fear of rejection from a spouse. Family outings or sports activities may be affected due to fear of leakage or concerns about incontinence products being noticed by others.…
When we see a commercial on our T.V. screens today, we always see in print or hear the narrator telling us that their product or the service they are promoting to us is one of the best of its kind. They use all types of appeals and techniques to reel us in, making whatever they are trying to sell to us either pretty, shiny, worth-buying, or they use bold simple states telling us things such as, “Once you get it, you won’t be able to live without it.” By using these statements and methods of gaining viewers, the ad or commercial gains what it truly aspired for; attention and the need and/or desire to buy the product. In the ad “Bounty Big Spills” the bold statement and exaggerated visuals are created to intrigue the consumer to buy a useful household item.…
The best thing about this video is the simplicity of it. It’s just D’Angelo in front of a black screen...completely naked. He’s baring his soul and his six-pack. While Panic! at the Disco tried to recreate it in 2015, it doesn’t come close to the sensual, sexy, sweatiness of D’Angelo’s.…
In my placement area I found many residents either with urinary catheter or using incontinence pads. That is suffering from this problem. Thus I selected this as one of my learning outcome. I choose Gibbs Reflective cycle 1988 to write this reflective essay on assessment and management of urinary incontinence. This model of reflection allows me to evaluate and analyse my own experiences to bring out new learning and changes.…
