they have all rights to say no and walk away. In the film, the male distributing the shocks had all rights to get up and leave. Deep down in him, he knew what he was doing was morally wrong, however he didn’t stand up for what he believe is right. He continued to distribute shocks when the authority insisted him to, as if he was being forced and held down. But, when an individual is closer to the person with authority, they are more obedient. For example, if the person with authority wasn’t nearby, the gentleman probably would have stop distributing shocks. However, since the authority was close by, he did what he was instructed to do.
My reaction towards the video was quite disturbing because it gave me the impression that people don’t know how to say no and mean no, especially when some life is at risk. But, because a so called authority says continue, they proceed in the doings. Which shows no sort of leadership or the right of being morally correct.
Honestly, I think this story can be done today, however the outcomes will be completely opposite. I think that there is a possibility an individual will not go through with this process of continuously shocking an individual.
