Did you know that there’s a high rate of obesity in America? Obesity is growing rapidly in today’s society. Children at young ages are starting to become obese. That’s not only unhealthy for the body but not safe for a child young of age. There are many risks and cautionary when dealing with an obese child. The lack of knowledge, fast food industry and technology plays a big part in child obesity.
According to Journal of Family Medicine and Primary Care, “Obesity is defined as excess of body fat.” (3) Obesity has been one serious health challenge. This happens when you become inactive meaning not doing nothing at all. Obesity can happen depending on things such as age, gender, culture, and much more. If more people enforce the importance of a healthy life, I believe it would be more people actually trying to change and have a better healthier life. If parent spent less time on their daily lives, and actually cooking a home cooked meal then fewer children wouldn’t be obese. Also, enforce the importance of actually spending less time on their video games, and more time spent outside being active. This will cut down on the laziness in a child. Being active is such a good thing as well as being fun at the same time. With the knowledge, people will be able to change and live a better healthier life. More and more fast food is listing calories of their food, therefore, you can watch how many calories you consume each day. Technology has also made numerous ways to lose weight. You can now, work out on your favorite game systems and lose weight at the same time.
