The greatest challenges of all are public speaking, testing anxiety, and fear of failure. Many things and people have taken part in helping to get me over these obstacles along my journey. There have even been points to where I thought that I was going to pass out, but luckily didn’t. Thanks to the help and guidance of Professor Fotinos, I have overcome my public speaking fear, and can speak in front of anybody, at least eighty percent of the time, and have even volunteered to go first when speaking. The second greatest challenge has been with anxiety. I have been diagnosed with major anxiety, major depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). With the testing anxiety, all these diagnosis’s have played a part in some way or another, especially the OCD and anxiety. Through time and training, I have learned to breathe easier and calm down as long as I am comfortable in the class, sit against the wall away from people, and hide my face so I don’t see them finish and leave.
