1. Build Healthy Public Policy-
To build a healthy public policy is to go beyond simple health care. In order to build a healthy public policy, factors effecting health must be taken into consideration by policy making sectors of every level. The Action taken by policy makers will attempt to improve health, income and health services that will have a flow-on effect to create greater equity for all. By doing so, will ‘ensure safer and healthier goods and services, healthier public services, and cleaner, more enjoyable environments (WHO 2014)’.
2. Create Supportive Environments-
Many people will be impacted about the environment and society that they grow up in. By creating supportive environments Health Promotion can take a major turn in encouraging health throughout the public. Creating Supportive Environments is to encourage people to change patterns of living to create living and working conditions that are safe, stimulating, satisfying and enjoyable. Provides students with knowledge about the impact of sociocultural, physical, political and economic environments on their heath and about the active role they can play in fostering change in their living and working environments and in maintaining the physical environment.
3. Strengthening Community Actions-
Through community action a society could change their outlook on their sociological, psychological and physical health. Strategies that are implemented by communities work to improve self-help and social support, and to develop flexible systems for the general public. Assists students to realise the importance of existing human and material resources in the community in enhancing self-help and social support and of developing flexible systems for strengthening public participation and direction of health matters to increase a community’s ownership and control of their own endeavours
