Occult: Witchcraft and Fortune Teller
Occult When it comes to Occult, it has three kinds: Divination, Magic and Spiritism. Divination is like a Fortune-teller, it attempt to be telling what is going on happen in the future. Magic is attempt "to control the present", our lives, the lives of others, or events of nature, by ceremonies, charms, or spells believed to have supernatural powers.
And Spiritism is attempts to communicate with the death, it tells you what should you do in your life time and after you are dead, you can get to live with god. First of all, I do not think that the society should be worried overall about occult practices because it all depends on if people believe Occult or not. If someone can tell people what is going to happen to them in the future, why do we listen to our parents, close friends and teachers? If people have black magic like fireballs, why would we need pistol, rifle or missiles? Of course there are people who believe in them. In the USA, there are 10,000 Astrologers, and 40 million people consult the horoscope, as reported in McCall Magazine. In San Francisco, the Satanic Church has 8,000 members. (http://religion-cults.com/Occult/O-Overview.htm#Explosion of Occultism:) As long as they don’t get involved to politics, they are fine. 2nd thing is psychics or fortune tellers; they have some similarities and a few differences. Example: psychic is a study of analyzing in people’s mind and related behavior. Fortune teller is different, they attempt to use ancient thoughts or unscientific ways to tell people what is going to happen to them in the future. Personally I take Fortune teller as an entertainment. But I am sure that it could harm some people who are deeply believed in a Fortune teller. Last thing I want to talk about is people who belong to witchcraft covens and also satanic groups. I don’t think they are dangers to the society.     For hundreds of years, the word “witch” has been associated with innumerable negative images. Witches were considered devil worshipers who committed scores of evil deeds toward society.
