Occupational injustice occurs when individuals or groups of people are prevented from access or participation in occupations because of race, culture, religion or political preferences and the impacts noted by the World Health Organisation (WHO) that life is cut short when quality of life is low and occupational injustices that causes hardship, poverty, social exclusion, and discrimination impacts on quality of life (Wilcock, 2006).
