Dreams have a big part in people's lives. They do change people's lives.
The importance of dreams in Of Mice and Men is that they always wanted to do something that would make them happy and do something they loved and work hard for what they want. Like George and Lennie in the book the main characters they had a dream to live on a farm and make money for it, sell goods and drink a lot. Lennie said “ Okay someday- we’re gonna get the jack together and we’re gonna have a little house and a couple of acres an a cow and some pigs and we’re gonna live off the fatta of the land”. Lennie and George always had this dream so they are gonna work hard to get what they want for their dreams to come true.

George has a dream of owning and living on a farm. He uses that to get away from what's really happening with reality because he knows he won't get his dream if Lennie is with him because Lennie holds him down or back. “ go 0n, George when we gonna do it “ ? “Gonna do it soon you…. An’ me. Ever’body gonna be nice to you. Ain't gonna be no more trouble. Nobody gonna hurt nobody nor steal from ‘em.” Lennie begged, “ Le’s do it now. Le’s get that place now.” There is this one lady Curley's wife she had a dream to be a movie star, but reality hit her in the face and she didn't become one. Not everybody's dreams come true. George is not trying to think about it and how Lennie isn't going to spend and have the dream with George because he knows that Lennie ain't gonna get the dream. Reality is blocking that
