According to the terms of the issue, “Commercial marijuana sold in Ohio could only be grown at 10 ‘marijuana growth, cultivation and extraction facilities’(Cleveland.com).” Marijuana would not be strictly for medical use, but could not be smoked in public and persons growing personal supplies are limited to four flowering plants required to be grown outside of public sight (Cleveland.com). Problems with this issue stem could stem from issue 2, should both issues pass. Issue 2’s terms prevent monopolies for financial gain of small groups, and thus would make the 10 specific farms of commercial marijuana illegal because they would be a monopoly. Conflict between the issues would have to be settled should both issues pass, but there is no guarantee that either will be approved. Issue 3 is a controversial issue, and has arguments both for and against it just as issues 1 and 2 do. Each issue on the November ballot will affect Ohioans. Issue 1 would help greatly with the fairness of districts, and in turn prevent manipulation. Issue 2 will prevent monopolies, allowing for fairness in the industry as well as in many other situations. Issue 3 could benefit those who could have significant health problems that could be aided by medical marijuana, as well as lessen the problems caused by illegal marijuana growth and distribution.
