The ibo culture does not take care of his burial because it’s against these custom and one of his men stated that it is an abomination for a man to take his own life and that it is an offence against the earth and a man who commits it will not be buried by his clansmen. That why the clansmen can not bury him because his body is evil and only outsiders can touch it. What all this tells us is that the ibo culture never really cared about okonkwo.
I feel that okonkwo is weak, okonkwo is weak because instead of accepting the change that was happening to his village he decided to change it through force. Okonkwo’s weakness lead to his downfall because in the end he decided to commit suicide. Okonkwo commits suicide because he of all the changes that was happening he believed that he wasn’t going to be needed
