The Olive Garden vs. Carrabba's Italian Grill
When it comes to Italian food, I definitely prefer The Olive Garden over Carrabba's Italian Grill. Although Carrabba's has the Italian bread with herbs and oil, along with their manicotti that I enjoy so much, I would rather have The Olive Garden's unlimited bread sticks and salad as well as pleasant atmosphere. The two restaurants have some similarities; however, their differences are more obvious.

Carrabba's is second to The Olive Garden for these reasons. First, Carrabba's atmosphere is not as nice, because you can see the kitchen, as well as hear it, as it is set about 10 feet in front of the tables. I don't like all of the noise and certainly don't want to look at a kitchen. The restaurant is a lot darker and seemingly dingier than The Olive Garden. Secondly, their portions are a lot smaller and even more expensive which doesn't make good sense. However, I do thoroughly enjoy their warm, fresh Italian bread (that comes along with oil and herbs) that they give you when you are first seated. The staff also seems to be less friendly and doesn't greet you when you first walk in the door. Carrabba's is good, but definitely not as good as The Olive Garden.

The Olive Garden is my favorite Italian restaurant for many reasons. As soon as you walk in, you are almost overwhelmed by the hostess's hospitality. You are then warmed by the cozy atmosphere and pretty dangling lights that are streaming from wall to wall. After being seated, you are spoiled with as many servings of bread sticks and salad as you can eat. Their portions are much larger than Carrabba's and even cheaper. My favorite dish is their fettuccini alfredo. Every time that I go to The Olive Garden I get the same thing because I can't seem to make myself get something different in fear that I may not enjoy it as much.

Overall, I wouldn't say that Carrabba's is a bad restaurant, but I would definitely prefer to eat at The Olive Garden. Every once in a while I like to go to Carrabba's for a change, mainly

    Buca Di Beppo Review

For me personally, I love Italian food because of how much Italian’s appreciate the dinner table. What I mean by “appreciating the dinner table” is how Italians take time to cherish the food but also interact with friends and family while you enjoy the authentic meals. Anyone who walks into Buca di Beppo can begin to feel the authenticity of the restaurant because they do a tremendous job escorting customers to their seat and sharing their history that allows you to see why this restaurant has been around for so many years. When you com to the restaurant when its not busy a waiter or a waitress usually escorts customers to their seat by going on a mini tour around the restaurant walking through the kitchen, around the bar and to their seat. I loved the fact that they walk you through the kitchen to show how they use fresh ingredients and how clean and organized their kitchen is. During this tour it really showed the distinct features of an Italian restaurant. Walking through the restaurant with hundreds of framed pictures across the walls of families and celebrities really made the place feel “homey” and “lively”. This certainly reassured me that my food was going to be fresh.…

First off, the food has been amazing every time I have been there. This time I ate the chicken critters (tenders) with steak fries and green beans and it was very delicious. We didn’t wait maybe ten minutes from getting our appetizer and we already had our entrée. To me that is an excellent waiting time considering it was fresh food. Also the price is very understandable considering the amount of food I got. Overall I would rate the food a ten, it was amazing and always has been.…

    Applebee's Evaluation

As my girlfriend and I pull into a crowded parking lot during a chilly Friday evening, we struggle to find a spot of our own, but manage to do so as we take the place of another young couple as they pull out to leave. I put the car in park as we both gaze at the numerous parties walking into the restaurant. A bright sign, hung lit overhead, shining the phrase "Applebee's Neighborhood Bar and Grill" atop a red brick building. Awnings were placed above every window, and resting on the ground, between each window, was a wooden park bench surrounded by lush, green foliage on either side. The whole place looked as if it had been pulled straight from a friendly neighborhood in the heart of the big apple. I knew we had made the right dinner decision even before walking in the large, double doors. Applebee's has always been a favorite of mine. There is rarely ever a wait to be seated and thrown into the laid back, neighborhood atmosphere that they aim to provide. Their service is exceptional, with quick and courteous staff members which you encounter as soon as you walk in. And depending on what you order, you can always count on Applebee's to present you with not just a meal, but an experience for both your eyes and your taste buds.…

If I had the opportunity to visit Chef Monica Sallier’s restaurant or Chef Andrew Gleason’s restaurant then I would choose Chef Monica’s restaurant. The reasons why I would choose Chef Monica’s restaurant, it’s a more modern type restaurant, her food isn’t perfectly seasoned, she relies more on instinct and that’s pretty impressive to me. Her restaurant isn’t really a romantic type. You can bring some of your closest friends and not feel that you’re actually on a date.…
