On The Job Training
Francis Ahmed J. Lebrilla
My 1st 50 hours of OJT

November 28, 2013 I started as a trainee on Community e-Center. I’m so excited because it’s my first time to go to an OJT like this, but I’m looking forward to it as an opportunity. Because training like this, is like you were getting geared up for the future job you want to seek.

In my 1st day of duty its more on orientation about what, will and how I do as a trainee inside the Community e-Center even thou I’m a 2nd year student, it will reminds me the right things to do. Mr. Marvin A. Jacela one of the Manager and our OJT Adviser in Community e-Center, I’m so glad because that he will be the one who will handle us as a trainee. He is so kind, generous and humble he got a lot of jokes to make his not get bored every time, but he will assured you that you gained a new knowledge at the end of the day. He gives us different task that we will do on our daily duty simultaneously.

In the 1st two weeks as a trainee I serve as a Assistant Teacher in every class in the CeC in some organization in tayabas like ALS, Open High School, SPED, LGBT, Sangguniang Panlungsod like the City Councilors of Tayabas and some of their employee and some of the Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS). Mr. Marvin A. Jacela will designate us every class in the CeC. Our task is to assist the student on how to use a computer properly and how the Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint works.

ALS students are very easy to assist during their time in CeC because most of them know lots of things in MS Word during their time and sometimes we the trainee are no need to assist them. In Open High School students is kindly easy to assist also during their time in our office not like the BNS. It is because some of the students of Open High School know how to use a computer on how operate it.

After the examination in MS Word I saw a lot of changes in every class in CeC and some of the ALS students excelled in MS word and I think in

As a teacher it is your responsibility to adapt your lessons so that they are accessible to everyone and promote inclusive learning. This will be achieved by planning to meet the different needs of your learners in the group. In order for this to happen you will need to have as much information as possible about each individual learner. As an ALS tutor the initial information I gather comes from the application and interview process, through observation, questions/ answers, self-disclosure and evidence of qualifications. English and Maths skills are assessed using an online diagnostic test on BKSB once they have started on their course. If a specific learning need is identified then the learner would be referred for specialist support. This could be in the form of on programme, one to one or group work with an ALS tutor in a specialist area or general LSA support on programme or working with the learner on a one to one basis.…

Also, assistive technology helps the students with disabilities to learn skills that are related to achieving their academic and life success. Aside from the orientation made by Ma’am Etzie, Ma’am Mara oriented me on what I am going to do and she toured me inside the Executive Office. She taught me how answer telephone calls, how to transfer telephone calls to other department, and how to give fax tone to the caller. Ma’am Mara told me that the General Manager Sir Edwin Fojas was out of town on two (2) months vacation leave and the Compliance Officer Sir Basil Perea was on a seminar, but will be reporting at the bank after two (2) days. I learned on that first day that I have to be very patient especially in answering phone calls.…
