Once you have prepared your kitchen you can get started on the recipe. First pour a pound of whole pecans and a teaspoon of cinnamon into the food processor and grind them to a fine chop. If you do not own a food processor you can purchase finely chopped pecans and hand mix the cinnamon into them; however, I do recommend the food processor method because you can chop the pecans to a nearly dust-like consistency. Set the cinnamon pecan blend aside while you start to prepare your dough.…

Bread and Wine is a timeless story of the struggle of one man in a changing country. The Country is Italy. The time is the 1930 's, however the struggle is against fascism. To understand where the book is coming from, one must first understand where the author himself was coming from. Ignazio Silone can be closely related to the main character in the book; Pietro Spina. He was born early in May in the year 1900. Living in a small village in the region of Abruzzi, something caught the eye of the young Silone. That something, was the promise of a better life. That something, was the hope of a socialist Italy. Since 15 years old Ignazio Silone tried desperately, doing what was in his power to help the cause, and overcome the odds of fascism. It is his life that ignited his writing career, and that career which ignited the beginning of this book.…
For the ingredients you’ll need your favorite brownie mix, soft butter to grease the pan, two eggs, ¼ cup of water and ¾ cup of vegetable oil for cookware. You’ll also need a metal or glass pan 13”x 9” and a mix bowl. Next, preheat your oven to a temperature of 350F. Grease the bottom of your glass or metal pan with the soft butter. Then put the brownie mix into the mixing bowl. Put the oil in first and mix it in with the brownie mix and stir with a spoon. Next is the egg; put the eggs in the bowl and continue stirring the mix some more. After that is the water. Put the water into the mix and stir. Keep stirring until the mix is blended well. Pour the mix into pan and spread lightly and evenly until all of the mix is in the pan. Put the pan in the oven and set the timer for 30 mins. Once the brownies finish baking, refrigerate for 15 mins or until set. Then cut into bars using a knife coated with no-stick cooking spray.…

Then you’ll have to dig up a 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan, a small mixing bowl, a large mixing bowl, a hand-mixer, and a can of Pam to spray your pan. Once you have the ingredients and the pan is prepared, it’s time to preheat the oven to 375 degrees.…

One of my children's favorite treats is homemade banana walnut bread. As long as there is a cup of milk to accompany the treat my kids are ready to eat. Most of the time my whole family makes them to enjoy quality time together. Banana walnut bread not only brings us together, but it provides us with a yummy treat for our dessert after dinner. Usually my wife makes sure to have enough ingredients for all four of us, and we make a list of any missing ingredients to buy from the store. After our dinner we clean up and my wife calls me and the kids to the kitchen and we all begin the fun process. For banana walnut bread, we use the Martha Stewart recipe found on her website . Before we begin, my wife preheats the oven to 350 degrees. Once my wife turns the oven we begin to gather all of the ingredients and set them on the table. We gather the necessary bowls for mixing, measuring cups, measuring spoons, and the electric mixer. We also use one 9-by-5-by-3-inch loaf pan. Once the preparations are set, we begin combining the ingredients to make our final product. First we grease the loaf pan with a little bit of butter. Then we add half cup of butter and one cup of sugar into the electric mixer until is light and fluffy, we stir in two eggs, one at a time to incorporate. In a medium bowl, we whisk together one in a half cups of flour, one teaspoon of baking soda, and one teaspoon of salt. Then we add it to the butter mixture, and mix until just combined. We add 2 bananas to another bowl and mashed them all up. When they are mashed up we add half cup f sour cream, and one teaspoon of vanilla extract and mix to combine. At this point, we take our original, dry mixture and gradually beat it into the wet mixture. Finally, we stir in the ingredients, add the walnuts and pour into the prepared pan. We insert the loaf into our preheated oven for about 1 hour 10 minutes, we insert a cake tester into the center of the cake until…
As young impressionable children, parents and doctors always try to do what is best for us, including and possibly most importantly, the food we eat; what is healthier, what has less sugar, what has more nutritional value, etcetera…Even as adults, people tend to look for the product that has health benefits, such as the popular wheat bread. Wheat bread has always be thought to be the better choice over white bread, considering it has whole grains, fiber, oats, and is more natural. But is that necessarily the case? When looking deeper into the components of most wheat bread, ingredients like high fructose corn syrup, processed salts, chemicals, preservatives, and so-called enriched white flour can be found. According to leading nutritionists, these ingredients are in no way healthy for the consumer; they can be linked to weight gain and other chronic diseases. So what is so wholesome about this wheat bread; it has always thought to be the healthier choice, but in reality, it is just as bad for the consumer as any other processed product.…
