Gender Stereotype- A gender stereotype is a way to characterize a woman?s attributes in a traditional way. It reinforces the concept that women lack the ability to be independent, strong, and powerful thinkers capable of making their own decisions.
Ambivalent Sexism- Men?s negative attitudes towards women based on benevolent and hostile sexism.
Benevolent Sexism- Men?s negative attitudes towards women by viewing them as fragile and weak; therefore, treating women as inferior to men.
Hostile Sexism- Men?s negative attitudes towards women who display independence and power; therefore, treating them in a hostile or aggressive manner.
Stereotype Minorities- The belief people have of a group because of their gender, ethnicity,
or culture.
Power- The ability to control, persuade, or influence the thoughts and actions of others.
Power Pose- The use of nonverbal cues and behavior to gain advantage in a social interaction.
