However, whenever there was some stage combat, like pushing each other around, it seemed very uncoordinated and not choreographed, sometimes causing people to not be open to audience when speaking or being hidden behind people. That happened quite a bit actually. Where a character would banana cross behind a character while speaking so they weren't completely available to be seen by the house. The theater was set in a proscenium style but it was a little strange. There was a defined proscenium but in front of it on the apron there were walls about 3-4 feet out. One really cool thing was that they had a cyclorama in the background that changed color depending on the mood or situation in the scene. Also there was a crazy spectacle that repeated about 4 times where this huge venus fly trap ate people. It was controlled by people inside it working the mouth and people had to dive through and come out the other side behind a wall. I'm assuming this was a small-ish local show since the theater was about less than half the size of our little theater and the ticket sales woman was surprised when we said we weren't there for anyone. Since it was mostly actors friends and family there was a lot of catharsis throughout the show. The audience had sort of warmed up though since there was improv before and some
