An organizational assessment is an organized process for gaining valid information about the performance of an organization and the influences that affect performance. An organizational assessment delivers useful date on an organizations performance, is used to identify important features that aid or impeded an organizations attainment of results, and compares the organization with respect to their competitors.

Organizational ethics are the principals and standards by which organizations function and are established through acts of fairness, compassion, integrity, honor and responsibility. VCU Health System communicates its organizational ethics by training their employees on company standards, STAR Service Behaviors.
