Organizational Design Paper Maxim Healthcare Services is a full service staffing agency that staffs for medical professionals across the United States. Established in 1988 to address the nursing shortage, Maxim Healthcare Services grew from a small team of excited recruiters to a nationwide organization with more than 360 offices throughout the United States. Since its inception in 1988, Maxim Healthcare Services has been committed to helping the public in addition to responding to the needs of patients, families, and facilities nationwide (Maxim Healthcare Services, 2011). The success behind Maxim success stems from the organization growth, structure, and processes. In this paper the subject to identify is Maxim’s internal and external factors that have help defined, shape, and how accountability affects the organization.
Internal Factors
At Maxim Healthcare Services, there are many internal factors that have help defined and shape the organization. Some of these factors that have help defined and shape Maxim are p4, organization culture, and the employee’s. Many of these factors have significant influence on the organization growth, structure, and processes.
P4
At Maxim, P4 is one of the internal factors that have help defined and shape the organization. P4 stands for policies, procedures, planning, and people. Maxim’s leadership and human resources department initiated this program to make sure that managers and employees have a better understanding of the organization policies and procedures. The program also made managers and employees aware of the organization new code of conduct. In addition, P4 open the lines of communication between leadership and employees.
