PTA Setting Analysis

The PTA should follow the lead of a PT's accommodation and treatment of patients in manner of fairness over convenience or optimal structure. An example of Equality(fairness) is a setting that attends to patients on a first come first serve basis which shows respect for everyone that walks through the door regardless of race,sexual orientation or health condition. On the other hand, an example of Efficiency(convenience) is a setting that accommodates patients by attending to those that are believed to be in more aggravated condition over others. Such approach may be taken to favor time management or monetary gains over the respect for patients. The PTA should always encourage treating all individuals and matters with respect. This practice
should extend to third parties as it does to the patients seeking care. Therefore, no matter which country or place we are, when patients arrive to a clinic, rehabilitation center or a hospital they desire to be treated in a respectful way specially when they are in pain. That's why every PTA should treat all patients as human beings, no matter religion,origin, or social status.
