Pablo Monologue
Pablo...

Will she take the kids away from me? NO! I can't tell her! Nothing will happen. We are safe here. No one knows where we live.

"F*ck, F*ck! Where are you Eros?" I whispered lowly, I don't think I have enough bullets left, the click of the pistol confirmed that I was right.

Laughter! Sick wicked laughter was heard as footsteps came closer. I stood up and took steps back to my family as he entered through the doors.

His footsteps were coming closer and closer. I knew who he was, Christian El Camin. He's number one enemy and long rival of Eros, someone had a hit on his family and took them out. And he blame me for it. I was innocent of his family's blood, he would never believe me. No matter how much I tried. I pulled my family back even more, then walk up to him.
"Take me El Camin and leave my family alone."

More than twenty men are scattered inside and out the house. Small cries and hiccups are heard, all turn their heads to the

Step by wicked step, my boots sank further and further into the thick, red-tinged land as if the devil himself were dragging my body straight into the depths of hell. The rhythmic squelching stabbed through my rubber soles, radiating pain throughout my soul as it seared everything in its path. Squelch, squelch, squish. My tempo was interrupted by those cursed boots refusing to budge from the stubborn terrain. As if taunting me, the earth unhooked my feet from the damned soil…

My body is under attack. An attack I am all too familiar with. It feels as if an explosive has detonated in my head. I am disoriented and struggling to get my thoughts together. The pain is intense and crippling. I tilt my head back, and rest it on the headboard hoping for relief. I shut my eyes, and gently place my hands on my temples. As I begin to massage my temples, the invader silently enters into my thoughts and begins to taunt me, “You deserve everything you get, he whispers”. “It doesn’t matter how you try to escape me, I will be here. I will be here today, tomorrow, and for the remainder of your life”. Trying to ignore the whisper, I grab two Advil off the nearby nightstand, and wash them down with a sip of coffee. I squeeze my eyes tight, and begin to feel tears burn the back of my eyelids. My thoughts begin to become tainted with feelings of despair, hopelessness and sorrow. I open my eyes, and standing within arm’s reach of me, is my ten year old son. I choke back my tears, force myself to smile and reach out for a hug.…
