Derrick threw his backpack over his shoulder and looked at his room for the last time. It wasn’t a nice room, it was small and cramped, and there were unremovable stains on every wall. The ceiling was a sickly white, his closet smelled like sweat, and his desk was slightly broken. Frankly, it was a horrible room, but that did not stop Derrick from feeling a deep attachment to it. His lips trembled slightly at the thought of never seeing it again. This was the room he grew up in, the room he lost his virginity, the room where he and his brother had many discussions about school and life. This was the room which made him the man he was today.
Suddenly, a large sturdy hand placed itself on his shoulder. Derrick turned …show more content…
around to see his brother’s smiling face, his large brown eyes looking directly into his.
“Don’t worry.” His brother, George, said, “Even if the room is gone, your memories of it never will, and that’s all that matters.”
Derrick forced a light smile.
“Yeah.” He said, “Let’s go.”
The two brothers walked out of their old home and into the garden. Derrick furrowed his brow at the sight of the sickly garden. All the plants, which he remembered to be so green and beautiful, had dried out and become brown and yellow. It was like a graveyard, and in many it was.
“Look.” George said, pointing at a something shiny in the grass.
Derrick walked over to see what it was. He reached out into the grass and picked up a silver ring.
“You found it!” George exclaimed.
Derrick couldn’t help but smile wryly at ring he had picked up. He remembered this ring. He had bought the ring 5 years ago when he wanted to propose to his girlfriend at the time. He had worked 8 hours a day for the entire summer, just to afford the ring, but when he told his parents his father threw the ring away. He never found it again, until now.
George and Derrick began laughing simultaneously.
“To be honest, it was probably a good thing dad chucked it.” George said, “I saw Bell at the mart the other day, and honestly, it wasn’t a pretty sight.”
Derrick smiled, acknowledging the comment.
“Should we go?” He asked.
“Yup.”
They got in the old chevy and drove down the dirt road. The nostalgic flat western landscape where the boys grew up slowly faded into distance as they drove north.
“What are you gonna do now?” Derrick asked.
George stayed silent for a bit.
“Uni.” He said.
“Which one?”
“UTK.”
“That’s far.”
“Yeah.”
“We won’t see each other much then.”
“Derrick, I think it’s for the best.” George said, “It’ll be good for you to be alone for a while, you know, to find yourself and what you want to do.”
Derrick stayed silent.
“You know.” George said, “When walking through snow, it’s easier to step into footsteps others have left before, but you have so much more freedom when you’re making your own footsteps. I know it’s hard, but, please, make your own footsteps. You have the capability to do so.”
“I’ll try.” Derrick said quietly.
George nodded approvingly.
“Here.” George handed him a stack of 50’s.
“That’s all you get.” He said.
Derrick looked at the money in his hands. Was he supposed to build his life with just this?
“Alright, I’m dropping you off here.” George said.
The car had stopped in front of an elementary school, one that the brothers knew well.
George sighed, “Good luck. That’s all I have to say.”
Derrick nodded, got out of the car, and watched it drive off.
“Just like that…” he mumbled to himself.
He looked at the elementary school where he had been dropped off.
“Jameson’s Elementary School.” Was written on a sign.
“It’s been a while.” Derrick thought as he paced in front of the gate of the school.
It had been years since he had laid eyes on the old school. It had deteriorated quite a bit since he last saw it. The big metal gate that used to be meticulously cleaned by the staff had now deteriorated and rusted. The great cement pillars which held up the school had graffiti all over them. It looked a sorry sight, but it still had an imposing aura. It may have been ruined, but the aura of authority had never faded.
He recalled the strict rules of the school. Every morning they sang the national anthem, and if they didn’t cover their heart while doing it they would be sent to detention. If you didn’t tuck your shirt in you would be spanked by a teacher. Half of the punishments were either spanking or being hit with a ruler, which was actually illegal, but the parents didn’t seem to mind.
Derrick walked away from the school. He wasn’t going to find anything there other than bad memories.
He walked aimlessly, hoping the streets would lead him to whatever he was searching for.
Eventually he found himself in front of a mexican restaurant. The flickering neon sign said “Pablo’s Comida”.
“Well, I am hungry.” Derrick said to himself.
He walked in and sat down.
The restaurant was actually in decent shape, which was a damn surprise in this town. All the chairs were nice and had red cushions, and the tables were polished wood. It was actually quite nice. However, there was one thing missing. Customers and employees. He was the only one there. He couldn’t even see if there was a waitress or anyone around.
“Hello?” He shouted, hoping for a reply.
At first there was no response, until suddenly a waitress walked out from the back of the restaurant.
“Ah, hello sir.” She said in a slight mexican accent.
“Hi, I’d like to order a quesadilla.” Derrick said.
“Of course, what would you like to drink?”
“Do you have a coke?”
“Yes.”
“Ok, I’ll have that then.”
Derrick looked at her as she was writing down his order. She was pretty sexy, that real latino look. She had great breasts, which were naturally accentuated by her work clothing. Derrick could see down her shirt when she was writing down his order, but he looked away, causing her to giggle a little.
“Ok sir, your food will be done soon.” She said.
As she turned around and walked to the back of the restaurant Derrick couldn’t help but glance at her hourglass figure as she walked away and disappeared behind the door to the back of the restaurant.
After a minute she returned with his food and his drink. She placed it in front of him.
“Thank you.” He said, and began to dig in.
Suddenly, the waitress grabbed a chair and sat down next to him.
“May I sit here?” She asked, cutely pleading with her eyes.
“Ye-Yeah, of course.” Derrick said.
“Thanks!” She said excitedly.
Derrick began to eat again, but the atmosphere quickly became awkward and quiet. He felt the need to say something.
“Are you working alone today?” He asked.
“Yeah.” She said, “It’s been quiet all day so everyone went home except me.”
“Oh.” He said, and the atmosphere became awkward again.
“How old are you?” She suddenly said.
“Umm… 19.” He said.
“Oh, good.” She said.
“Why?”
“Oh, I was just wondering.”
“Right…”
Derrick finished his food.
“How was it?” She asked.
Derrick thought for a second. His mind had been too preoccupied on the atmosphere and he didn’t even notice the taste of the food.
“It was great.” He said.
“Good.” She said.
Derrick suddenly sat up straight.
“Do you know if there are any hotels or motels nearby?” He asked her.
Her eyebrow raised slightly.
“Oh…” She said, looking slightly disappointed. “There’s a hotel down the block.”
“Ok, I’ll be off then.” He handed her a fifty and began to walk out.
“Wait!” She said, “This is way too much!”
“It’s fine” He said, “It’s a tip.”
“You’re not expecting anything else from me or something, right?” She asked, unconsciously covering her chest slightly.
Derrick understood what she meant.
“Oh no!” He exclaimed, not wanting there to be a misunderstanding. “No, I’m not that sort of person.”
She relaxed a bit and revealed a slight smiled.
“You know…” She began, “You seem like a nice guy.”
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
“Thanks, I guess.”
“It gets really lonely here sometimes.”
“Oh.”
“It’s just us here.”
“Yeah.”
“...”
“What?”
“Do- Do I really have to spell it out for you?”
“What?”
She walked towards Derrick and grabbed his hand.
She dragged him to the back of the restaurant.
“Go ahead.” She said.
“Go ahead with what?” Derrick asked, still confused.
“Oh come on!” She exclaimed, “I saw you looking before. Don’t you want to see more?”
“Oh…” Derrick realised what was happening, “Yes.”
She guided his hand and placed it on top of her breast. It felt soft and like fabric, though that was probably just the waitress uniform she had on.
Derrick noticed the unimpressed look on her face as he stood like a statue.
“Come on, Derrick.” He thought to himself, “You’re not a damn virgin. Take control! Be a man!”
He changed his expression to that of one filled with confidence.
He looked directly in her eyes and smirked slightly.
She smiled at him, becoming more satisfied in his performance.
He slowly began unbuttoning her shirt, and went through all the standard procedure. Start with the mouth, from the neck all the way down to the thighs, then use tongue and a finger until she’s ready for
use.
“Do you have a condom?” She asked, in between moans.
Derrick looked up and smiled confidently.
“Of course.” He said.
He pulled out his wallet, and took out a condom. He looked at the expiration date.
“1/1/18” He read, “Thank god.”
He put it on and they continued with standard procedure.
Around half an hour later they had finished, both of them.
“That was great.” Derrick said, completely out of breath.
She smiled at him.
“It was fun.” She said, with a worrying lack of emotion in her voice.
Derrick forced a smile at the bad response.
“I have something to tell you.” She said.
“What?” He asked.
“It’s not my fault.”
“What is it?” He asked, frightened.
“Whenever I have sex I get really hungry afterwards.”
“Oh, haha that’s fine.” He laughed with relief.
“I’m really hungry right now.” She said.
“Ok, then eat.” He said.
“Ok.”
She sat looking at him for a while.
“Why are you just sitting there?” He asked.
“I’m going to eat now.” She said.
“Ok!” He said, beginning to get frustrated, “Go eat!”
She nodded.
Derrick watched her.
She suddenly put her hand in her mouth. She grabbed her jaw from the inside of her mouth and began to move it around a bit.
“What are you doing?” He asked, slightly disgusted and confused.
She ignored him completely, and simply continued to rummage around her mouth with her hand. Suddenly, Derrick heard a click.
“Sorry,” She said, “whenever I eat a big meal I have to dislocate my jaw so it fits in my mouth.”
Derrick could only look at her in horror as her jaw popped out of its place and hung loose.
She smiled at him slightly and began to crawl over to him, her loose jaw swinging from side to side as she crawled.
“Do you still think I look pretty?” She asked, her large brown eyes eyeing at him seductively, like she wanted to eat him up.
“H-Hey!” Derrick exclaimed, “What’s going on here!?”
She suddenly grabbed his head with both arms.
“I’m gonna eat now.” She said childishly.
She looked at him with love, and began to stretch the skin around her mouth. She continued to stretch both the skin around her mouth and her lips until her mouth had expanded to a size at least ten times larger than it was before, revealing the black abyss of her throat. At that moment, with no warning, she put her mouth around his head and began to swallow him whole.
Derrick, who could only feel the tight, warm, and wet tissue of her throat, fainted immediately. It had been a strange day, and a strange start to a new life.
