“He’s right” Agreed Peony and Dew. an argument had officially broke out. 3v1 shouts were thrown like crazy only to be stopped by an announcement from Peony.
“We have an order! The human made a wish!” Silence directly followed the statement.
“No way we're still doing that, we have to figure out this hole telepathy thing!” Raged Fox “I want to do it!” Realizing how young and foolish he sounded, the four broke out in laughter. The fairies separated to their own homes silently going back to bed. Good night thought Peony, expecting a response. This time though, there was none. I said GOOD NIGHT. But still, no response.
“oh no, not me now” She said aloud than covered her …show more content…
own mouth releasing the risk of waking up her family. She decided she would have to tell the others by mouth about her experience.
The morning finally came much to Peonys little sister's dismay. Rina unwillingly rolled out of bed and on top of her cat, Daffodil a green tabby cat they had taken in from the shelter when nobody else would because of his color. Yowling filled the house and the angered cat ran into Peonys room and onto her bed.
“Ugh” Peony moaned the feline loved her but the problem was she hated Daffodil. He followed her everywhere. She walked outside to the porch for breakfast her mini escort not far behind.
“Chamomile!” Announced Mrs. White. Matching her name she was very light and her hair was a pale yellow with flecks of gold combed throughout her curly locks. Mr. White came running down at the mention of the tea. His hair matched the color of camomile tea, but his skin was a tann brown with nice contrast to his hair. He always wore a tacky green overcoat with a blazing blue tie to work. He was on the welcoming committee. Any time a new fairy moved in he gave them a tour and suggestions of how to feel at home or fit in. Any time a baby was born, Mr. White got invited to the baby shower. He had been the only one on the committee for years so he earned the nick name “babysitter man” Although he never babysat. Nobody ever had any idea when a new fairy would come, so he had to dress up every day. He didn’t get payed but he didn't need to. In the fairy world, if you do work your neighbors help you. Everything was free if you worked. As for those who don't work, they rely on neighbors and friends to spare some food. In Oak Glen, everybody worked and the village is small so everyone knows each other. The Whites finished up their breakfast only to notice an empty seat with a dirty plate in front.
“Well she was in a hurry” Mr. White's voice was deep like a bull frogs
“Indeed” Mrs. White's voice on the other hand was a high sweetheart voice like a songbird. Peony had flown away to talk to her best friend, Dew, about her late night experience. She flew sofast she couldn’t stop in time so she crashed with a thud on Dew’s front porch. She was an only child, at least she thought she was. She was an orphan, so Mr. White had helped build her house. He had used hit personal favorite roof type, glass mushrooms. Dew was inside her house just as it was starting to rain HHEEEENNN WWWHHHOOONNNNN the rain horn all fairys had to go inside ir their wings would get wet. Once a fairy's wigs were wet, they could never fly again. She rushed inside not bothering to knock. She busted through the door into the house
“Dew!” She shouted
“No silly it's rain,” Giggled Dew, “sorry I needed a little humor. Anyways what up? Beside the rain I mean.” Dew was a water fairy so she could go out in the rain. Infact, she loved the rain dancing in it was so much fun, she wished it would rain all day long. But that would ruin the day for any other fairy.
“I'm not telepathic!” Cried Peony, “Is Fox?” “Oh yeah, about that…” Started Dew “Fox might be going… crazy? I'm just glad he can't hear my words. But he is so happy.”
…
The four fairies figured out that the person who is not telepathic switches every 4 hours, and tried to fulfill Emilys (the human at the wishing well) wish (that magic was real) fulfilling it was the easy part but now they know they have to show themselves to prove it. Doing so would put the whole fairy world in danger but they decided it was worth the risk. If they could convince her not to say a word about fairies to any other human. This would be very hard to do and they would have to show themselves to do so. They camped out at the wishing well waiting for Emilys daily visit.
…
Clunk, clunk, clunk clunk, Emilys large feet made a slow paced, deep hollow sound echoing around the cave waking all four of the friends. Each tiny fairy heart racing inside their chest. They knew it was time. Peony grabbed the large green leaf that had wilted a little but it would do. She hid behind the leaf and jumped down flying in zig-zags to look like the leaf was falling from a ledge. She failed miserably and used sharp movements off a much to acute angle but the plan continued on. She landed 6-7 feet from the wishing well and put the operation in action. Her feet were suddenly heavy, and unwilling to move, but she managed to force oce off of the ground and stuck the tip of her toe our off the leaf. That was a start, her bones froze. Emily started to sobb. Peony gently stuck her whole foot out from behind the leaf by now but refused to do any more. She was the chosen non-telepathic one for now so she was on her own. another step and she left the leaf propped up against the wall. “Acho!” This was not Emily, it was a fairy, and it was bad.
“Hello?” Weeped Emily, wiping tears from her eyes, now realising she was not alone. Peony imediatly retracted her legs back behind the leaf. The sun cast a shadow on the leaf, so Peony would know if Emily was coming. Them it struck her, shadows, the quartz reflected the sun and showed her shadow, not Emilys.
“Who? What the,” Emily stammered,”you're so, so, tiny!” she had seen Peonys shadow.
“Just a trick off the light!
You know you shouldn't be so quick to judge people,” Croaked Peony trying to sound brave, “i am the one you've been waiting for!”
“I'm sorry but you can’t help with what I want” Moaned Emily, returning to sobs.
“If your wish is impossible, why do you come here every day?” This time is a squeaky voice.
“I, I, I don't know! Your right, I should stop coming,” Started Emily “but I want to know your name first.”
“ my name s Peony White and I am your wish. You may not know it but we heard you every day and have spent long hours over this wish of yours.”
“My wish? Why mine?”
“Because it put us in danger.” the room was silent.
“I want to see you” Silence yet again. Clink. Peony has taken a step out. Whoosh! She zoomed away to the ceiling ledge with her friends.
“You have to promise not to tell anyone.”
“I swear. “ Said Emily.
“Look up.” Emily craned her neck towards the ceiling and there hovering in the shimmering light, where four tiny fairies, Astonished, she ran around looking at them from different angles, their chests held high with pride and dignity. Clearly, Emily was shocked at their sudden appearance. The four flew down to have face to face contact with Emily.
“I’ve never met a human before!” Isn't it boring to walk around?” Asked
